The Gray Catbird in my raspberry bush wasn't thieving after all - she was adding her own contribution to what's growing!!! 😍😍😍

I am SO happy that I noticed her nest before covering the entire bush with netting!
..and I should probably thank her for the complete lack of any insect damage this year 🤔🙏💕

Warmer and Brighter now! 🌞🔥

The coldest day and the three darkest months have already passed :)

Our coldest day in Owego is January 29th (on average), and the twelve darkest weeks are from November 9th to February 1st.

There's still some gloomy, dreary, freezing weather ahead... But it's on its way out!

P.S. - Curiously, the average coldest day happens much earlier on the West Coast. It's interesting to think that for some people, it's already been warming up for two whole months!
