Great to be part of Big Apple Awards/Program to recognize excellence in teaching. Out of 79,000 public school teachers in NYC, 6,500 were nominated to be a top teacher, 1,500 were invited to apply for program, and only 17 were selected as award winners this year! It is such an honor to work with these amazingly dedicated teachers. We have been involved for past 6 years, providing these teachers professional development workshops and coaching. Second shot is new NYC Chancellor Carranza, speaking to Fellows, who will be his new advisory group.

Enjoyed NYU Professor Wendy Suzuki's talk and intense saati demonstration this morning at ECFS! Her research is related to studying impacts of exercise on brain, which include increased mood, focusing ability and greater creativity. Her neuroscience memoir tells the story of how exercise has transformed her entire life, including her social life, her research focus and her ability to accomplish more in less time. Makes sense to me!

Nice piece about power of reflection and coaching. In pace of business and life, professionals do not get enough quality thinking time and also awareness of their own limiting patterns of thought. Having a thought partner helps clients to have powerful insights that change their mindset and results.

Great article in NY Times. Have used Stanford's design school approach and free tools in workshops and they are fantastic! Love how it is being applied to personal development as well. Makes you really get to heart of what you are solving for vs jumping into action on less prominent issues. Thought provoking piece. Applied with a client yesterday and it was super helpful. http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2016/01/04/design-thinking-for-a-better-you/
