Dear Friends + Family~
I have some exciting news to share, if you don't know already…
I am producing, directing and performing my first group show, and it’s called MINGE WORLD!----a powerful, provocative party served up in joyful celebration of freedom and fearlessness! Starring burlesque, dance and circus super stars Trixie Little, Miss Ekaterina, Debbie Attais, Suzanne Rogaleski, Autumn Costner and yours truly;-) The show is an entirely original collaboration of dance, acrobatics, drumming, trapeze and hula hooping, inspired by my love of powerful female energy. Come and feast your eyes on beautiful, brave and bodacious beasts in a titillating display of thrills, chills and skills. An hour of uncensored magic, merriment and mayhem, booty-licious and totally vicious. Don’t retreat into cyberspace! Come into the performance space and experience a real live Dancorcism (“better than therapy, better than drugs” ), bare witness to a baptism by pie and marvel at the myriad Mingestic feats. We are only doing in NY ONE NIGHT ONLY and then taking it to the other side of the world to Perth, Australia!
But I need help!
I've produced and directed plenty of group shows here in New York, many of which most of you have seen (Team Spirit Animal Squad, the Trapeze Loft Cabaret shows, Fox Hole and more) but I've never gotten to take one abroad. I have also been performing in Australia for the last 7 years with the Wau Wau Sisters as well as a solo artist with La Clique and La Soiree but this show will be a first and a big step for me. It's a dream come true, really, because I'm getting to work with some of my favorite women artists from Brooklyn as well as some of the best performance artists in Australia that will be joining us there.
I perform and create shows out of love, not a drive to make money and fortunately I've been able to survive as an artist for many years with this attitude but after putting on my producer hat and reviewing the costs of our trip again, I have realized that it's time to ask for help! This is a big step for me and some things weren't accounted for before saying YES to this invitation from the Perth Fringe!
My hope is that the show will be seen and enjoyed by enough people to make back HALF of the cost of taking it to Australia. Our months of work and sweat are given free with love, but I’m looking at 5 flights to Australia, accommodation, a handful of skimpy-yet-perfect costumes for each of us, and the usual producing expenses. The show is happening NO MATTER WHAT. But I want it to have the air of comfort, not desperation. We need your help.
So, here’s the deal:
We are doing a NY Premiere + Benefit show at Big Sky Works on Friday January 9th at 8pm which I would love you to come to. Come. Seriously.
We will also be having a silent auction of some fabulous things the performers and friends have donated to the cause. If you have anything you would like to donate I would be most grateful.

The process of making this show with my Brooklyn posse has been amazing, teaching me so much. These ladies took this risk with me and this is what fuels my days and creative process, making me trust that we're headed somewhere amazing. It's less than one month until we open the show on the other side of the world. Wish us luck and, if possible, help us out in a tangible way!
