They share a passion for all handcrafts such as knitting, crochet, needlepoint, and of course beadwork. In 2006 they founded The Well Done Experience, and since then have shared their beading expertise with others through lessons, original written instructions, and unique kits. In 2008, they launched Chicken and the Egg Designs, their line of one-of-a-kind couture beadwork.

Looking for a project to help you get through your stash yarn? I’ve got the perfect cowl for you.

The Mini Skein Madness Ripple Stitch cowl was designed with the Nooch Yarns sock mini skeins in mind, but you can use any fi*****ng weight or sock yarn.

This is a great stash busting winter project, and is a great opportunity to experiment with some funky color palettes! The ripple stitch design is fun and straightforward, and allows all those colors to really stand out.

Stitching the night away at our Needlepoint Sampler class last night 🪡

In this two session class I teach students how to create a classic needlepoint sampler with six unique stitches. It’s a fun way to learn new needlepoint techniques with a great group of people! Stay tuned for the upcoming Winter 2022 class schedule at .nyc !

If you know me, you know I love a good crochet shawl. And now that it’s finally cold in New York, it’s the perfect time to get started on your own!

The Very Violet Vees shawl is a classic shape, worked from the center out with increasing on either side every row and in the center every other row. The texture of the stitch looks amazing with monochromatic or variegated sock yarn, and you’ll only need one skein of each color!

Pixel Scarf in the sunlight 😍☀️

An all time favorite of mine, this scarf is worked up in three skeins of variegated fi*****ng weight yarn. The construction of the piece creates a fun, pixelated effect (hence the name 😊)

It may be getting cooler in NYC, but we can still wear our summer projects!

The Sedona Crocheted top is a summer favorite. Crocheted with a DK weight cotton, it can be worn all throughout the sweltering NYC summer.

But I especially love layering this top over cozy long sleeves and turtlenecks, or under a cardigan for the fall. Want a warmer layering piece? This would be super cozy worked up in a funky variegated wool as well!

Just can’t get enough of these new bead mixes 😍✨

Each bottle includes a mix of vintage glass beads, mostly from the Czech Republic, so every piece made from these lovely beads is truly one of a kind!

Back in action .nyc teaching Beginning Needlepoint!

In this class students learn the fundamentals of needlepoint - the continental and basketweave stitches. This is a great starting point for new stitchers to get acquainted with the craft.

Confetti chain stitch kit ✨in progress ✨

Each chain stitch bead crochet kit comes with everything you need to create a stunning one of a kind necklace. This is a great project for beginners, as it is just a chain stitch, and only takes about two hours to complete!

Rhinebeck is back in person, and I couldn’t be more excited to announce the release of my Beaded Baby Poncho pattern, available exclusively through ! This pattern took a whole year to come out, but I think it was well worth the wait. It’s just so cute!

This pattern features over 100 triangle shaped beads, is worked flat, and fits babies and toddlers. I used Aesir (a personal favorite of mine!). This pattern is only available through , and can be purchased individually or as a kit where you can choose the colors of your yarn and beads!
