Maharlika Cleaning Cooperative (formerly Damayan Cleaning Cooperative) is committed to providing superior, sustainable and healthy cleaning services to offices in the New York City area. ductivity and health. With over 100 collective years of cleaning experience, we continue to build healthy and just workplaces and worker leadership through our cooperative business. Maharlika Cleaning Cooperative was initially supported by Damayan Migrant Workers Association, a grassroots community-based organization that educates, organizes and mobilizes low-wage Filipino workers, mostly women domestic workers, to fight for labor, health, gender and im/migration rights, and the Center for Family Life in Sunset Park's Cooperative Development Program. In June 2016, Damayan Association and the Cooperative decided to part ways. We changed our name and are rebranding to reflect this transition.
