When I started this business in 2018, I couldn’t have imagined the ride it would take me on: from traveling to the far corners of the earth scouting destinations on behalf of my clients, to a year spent on my couch during a pandemic with no work at all forever battling the gloomy thoughts that maybe this was the end of travel, to a banner couple of years celebrating the return of the industry and of my young business, to today where I now have a team of 3, a family of 4, and an incredible group of wonderful clients keeping me busier than ever in their quest to plan the perfect vacation!

It was a big leap of faith when I embarked on this journey 5 years ago, but I feel incredibly lucky and proud to be running my own successful business, to have found a career that stokes the passion I’ve had for travel since I was a kid, and to be able to help my clients travel better, all while raising my young family.

So I’m raising a glass today to everyone who has made this journey possible; you know who you are! I owe you everything!

His current passions include snoozing and eating but he will surely also be adding travel to that list as soon as he can get his passport and hit the road with his mom!

Today marks day 29 of our self quarantine & social distancing efforts and also the start of my 29th week of pregnancy & third trimester! During this unprecedented time when travel has become impossible and any glimmer of a “babymoon” is gone, we are instead trying to see the silver lining by slowing down a bit, relaxing, and more fully appreciating the beautiful places in our area of the Hudson Valley where we can walk & hike while still maintaining appropriate social distance. Today our destination was Hyde Park to explore the magnificent Vanderbilt Estate and while it wasn’t some exotic, far-flung destination, I was still so happy to be enjoying quality time with my husband and puppy in the brisk morning sunshine ☀️

Happy 1st birthday to ! 🎉🎂🍾 These last 12 months have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and joyous of my life. I have planned over 200 trips to 6 continents (someone please hmu for Antarctica so I can say 7!) for hundreds of amazing clients, helping them to travel better and more efficiently while charging them nothing. I have worked harder than ever but you know that saying that when you find a job you love, you will never work a day in your life? Yup ✔️. Thanks to everyone who has made Swoon Travel possible, including all my fab clients, hotel partners & travel suppliers, , and my always supportive friends & family!

Some of you may wonder what it means that my one-woman business, , is also an independent affiliate of . While I run my business solo, and work 24/7 to make sure my clients have the best travel experiences possible, I also get the distinct pleasure of being affiliated with over 100 like-minded colleagues all working collaboratively towards the same goal. What does this mean for my clients? They get the best of me, but they also get the network and expertise of all 112 of us. These people are some of the best in the biz; travel-savvy, hungry, creative, and passionate. If I haven’t been to a destination (and let’s face it, one person physically can’t travel to every destination in one lifetime), chances are one of these folks have. That translates to better, more creative experiences for my clients, a more successful business for me, and max support all the way around. Love being a small part of the SmartFlyer family! 📷:

Got married, launched my travel business, traveled to Turks & Caicos, England, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany, UAE, the Maldives, and Sri Lanka, and far exceeded my personal first year sales goal. A big thank you to all of my wonderful clients who trusted me this year with their own personal travel, to my hotel partners and travel suppliers who have taken excellent care of them, and to my colleagues, friends, and family who have supported and encouraged me during this incredible year. They’re also getting free breakfast daily and a $100 resort credit simply because they allowed me to work with them to book their stay. If you’re going to luxury hotels and not working with a travel advisor, you’re doing it wrong!!!!

I’m constantly asked why luxury travel advisors like me are necessary in this era. Yes you can book entire trips yourself online at the touch of a button. Yes you can also book with your platinum card and get the exact same perks as I get for my clients. But this photo answers that question perfectly. Here I am with the General Managers of the in LA and in NYC. They make sure my clients are the first to get upgraded and that they receive the highest VIP treatment when they arrive to their hotels.
