A Day in Hyde Park. Today we visited the Hudson River Valley including the Vanderbilt Mansion, the Presidential Library and home of FDR. Pictured is the rose garden and resting place of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his wife Eleanor Roosevelt. One of our favorite and most beautiful day tours we offer.

This years Rockefeller Center Christmas tree to arrive in Manhattan tomorrow morning. She is 82 feet high (25 M), 50 wide, weighing 14 tons and eventually donning 50,000 led lights! Fun fact: the first weeks it will consume 90 gallons of water daily. Wow! Come see this beauty with us. (Photo thanks to The NY Times)

Today we visit Balto the hero sled dog who’s statue has nobly stood on this rock outcropping in Central Park. His statue, the children’s favorite, has stood in Central Park since 1925.
Balto’s brave history goes back to 1925 when Nome, Alaska was stricken with a diphtheria outbreak. Teams of mushers and sled dogs traveled almost 700 miles during a snow blizzard with enough antitoxin to treat all the sick.

See! There is culture on Park Avenue! We bumped into “Hippo Ballerina” today on our way to Grand Central Terminal! Our 15 foot Ballerina is by Danish artist Bjørn Okholm Skaarup and "Hippo Ballerina" is inspired by Edgar Degas’ love for ballerina’s. Come join us and find all New York City’s fun corners!

Yes! ‘The Charging Bull’, by Italian-American artist Arturo Di Modica, sits not at Wall Street but several blocks away on Broadway in the Financial District. Originally dropped in front of the NYSE building in the middle of the night on Dec. 15, 1989. Let’s visit it together!

Another hidden gem in NYC! This is Pablo Picasso’s 60 ton ‘Bust of Sylvette,’ from 1968. It was constructed by Carl Nesjär and hides in a Greenwich Village courtyard. Discovered on several of our Manhattan tours.

Exactly 110 years ago today, this very sidewalk and staircase on Broadway, was crowded with hundreds of people, families and friends, waiting for the list and notices wired from the North Atlantic of the Titanic survivors. This was the White Star Line temporary office. We will always remember. 💙

We couldn’t think of a more appropriate man to honor this Memorial Day, then George Washington himself. This is an actual mold (life mask) of our President’s face from 1785, four years before his inauguration on Wall Street. It’s extraordinary to see in person.
