FINANCIAL FEARLESSNESS 2.0 PROGRAM - IS IT FOR YOU?
I wish I had been smarter about money when I was younger.
(You too?)
Even with a father like mine.
Our relationship with money, when you think about it, is very much like every other relationship we have. It's like our relationships with family members, and our relationships with significant others. All of our relationships started in childhood, or were influenced by our childhood, and they all evolve over time.
That's why our relationships growing up with money often define our relationship with money as adults.
How about you?
== Do you have a love/hate relationship with money? or
== Do you love to have it, and hate that you don’t?
== Or, do you hate even thinking about money?
== How much emotional energy do you focus on your finances?
== Are you easily distracted from looking at the big picture?
== Do you even look at your financial situation, or are you overwhelmed by the thought of doing so?
== Do you not even know where to look?
We do things because of how we *feel better,* or *think* we will feel better when we do. We avoid things for the same reason.
We also feel better when we *don't think* about things that cause anxiety.
Mark Twain once said that, "A cat, once having sat on a hot stove, will never again sit on a hot stove. *Nor a cold one."*
It's the same thing with *all* relationships, once burned, it's hard to know where to sit, or where we stand.
We have images and ideas, some which we are not always, or not even consciously aware, when in relationships, including our relationship with money.
For example:
== Do you avoid money because you are afraid of who you might become if you get rich? Or
== Do you love how money makes you feel when it burns a hole in your pocket, and find you spend it as fast as you make it? Or faster?
== Do you love to buy only the “best”? The newest car? Phone? Latest gadget?
== Or do you hate to spend money because you feel it all needs to be saved for a rainy day or other emergency – perhaps a pandemic?
== Do you make a decision, and then quickly move on?
== Or do you evaluate every possible option and collect as much information as possible before making a decision?
*IF SO, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.*
All financial behaviors make perfect sense, because they come from our psychology. We do things because of how they make us feel. We spend, save, or avoid, because our fears and desires. What got us here is what drives us today.
If you continue your financial journey as you are, though, is it sustainable? Will you have enough?
What if you were fearless when it came to finances -- not reckless, even safely avoiding risk -- but with confidence, and fearless?
This is where I come in....
There are two things I know to be true:
1. If you don’t know how much you need, you can never have enough.
2. You can absolutely never have enough of what you don’t need.
Imagine if you had “Financial Fearlessness.”
Again, I'm not talking abut risky behavior, but instead the ability to face your finances, even embrace your finances, without fear.
== Who would you be then?
== What could you do?
== What would your relationships be like?
== Who would be in your life?
== Most important, *how would you feel?*
Welcome to “Financial Fearlessness 2.0”
It’s a 6 week coaching program to help you develop your own relationship with money.
== You will learn how your emotions influence your behavior
== You will learn how you make decisions, and how and when you decide not to make decisions
== You will learn how to feel, think and behave so you can improve your financial health
== You will learn how to avoid the feeling of “missing out” without taking unnecessary risks
== Most important, you will learn why you do what you do, and connect with your best self so that you can move forward, embracing wealth, without fear, and without guilt, knowing how you can contribute and grow at the same time.
This is not individual financial planning. That is also available to you, separate from this.
