Sad to say the TNMCC has lost long-time member Mike Callan. Mike had been with the club longer than almost anyone else, joining in 1981. Mike missed by his estimation less than 10 meetings since he joined, he was always there. Mike was one of our club's Mopar fanatics and also owned a real 1965 Plymouth.

The Town of Newburgh Model Car Club is sad to report that we have lost Greg Nichols. Greg would drive in from Connecticut to every meeting, and share with us stories and updates on his scratchbuilt hot rods, and was a friend to everyone in the club. He will be missed.

A great how-to video from member Vinnie Lobosco on applying bare metal foil like pinstriping! He makes it look so damned easy!

Sad to say that the TNMCC has lost one of our long-time members. Jim Devine was part of our Connecticut contingent that traveled more than an hour each direction to come to our meetings. Jim had more knowledge of obscure and oddball cars than most anyone I've ever met and would enthusiastically share that information at every meeting. Although the cancer was taking an obvious toll he was still attending our meetings as recently as March, which was the last meeting we've had for the time being. The club meetings definitely won't be the same without him. Rest in peace Jim.

Posted by Jim McNamara: After careful consideration on what project to work on during this quarantine period and pulling out some of my old projects...I chose to do what any dedicated car modeler would do, start a new project. I bought the AMT Twister Vega about 15 years ago and I’ve recently became enamored with late 70’s - early 80’s street machines. So I figured I’d build the Vega in that style. In steps Vinnie Lobosco...Vinnie donated some parts including a Danbury Mint blown hemi engine etc. Vinnie was quick to point out that the rear wheel wells needed some work. Hence these photos showing the steps I took to close up the rear rear wells.
