This is the nifty 1950s kitchen from the Columbia Gas Commercial, which was filmed at my vacation house rental “The Good Ol’ Days House”, and is particularly meaningful to me.

In the center are my Italian grandparents, immigrants from Calabria at the turn of the last century. From left to right: Uncle Tony, Cousin Joe, Grandma, my father Sammy, Uncle Frank, with Uncle Freddie, Pap holding a bottle of homemade wine, and Uncle Jim Stringhill in the bottom row. The youngest is my Cousin Johnny.

It is intriguing to think about their potential reactions if they were alive and saw their old kitchen featured in that notable television commercial that ran for 4 years and won a Telly Award in 2017. 🥰🍷❤️ you can watch the commercial in the comments below….

It’s a wrap! 🎄🎄🥰🥰Thank you to all who donated and joined us at the 14th Annual Retro Christmas Pajama Party for Domestic Violence Services of SW PA. We received 75 pairs of pajamas and dozens of winter hats, warm socks and slippers for women and children in Fayette, Washington and Greene counties. There are always a lot of choices when it comes to donating to those in need at Christmas and I am so grateful that many of you chose to donate to this noble cause. Your continued support means everything and together we can make a difference in the lives of others in our communities this Christmas. God bless you all & have a Blessed Christmas.
