Life A Flame is a private christian website with mobile apps that promote a healthier walk with Christ through spiritual networking and intentional discipleship. This website is meant to be a place to build up the body of Christ and encourage all who profess Christ alone as the only way to know God. Spiritual networking is part of Life A Flame but not all that there is. The believer has the abilit
y to stay encouraged and supported by believers around the world, within their community and within their church via the internet. Yet information without relationship only leads to disconnect. Intentional discipleship focuses on relationship. Intentional discipleship is having accountability to God, yourself and believers that you can trust. The accountability is seen in the site by the tracking of time in prayer, setting goals each week to achieve, use of spiritual gifts, sharing the love of Christ and time in fellowship with a mentor and other areas in which we need pressure to grow and be stronger in the Body. Intentional discipleship recognizes that growing your flame should be the only focus within each section of your life, spiritual, emotional and physical. Prayer brings the believer into proper position when going before God. Intentional Discipleship focuses on shifting the focus of the believer from self to God and others by sharing prayer request with others and praying for them. The shift also takes place by recognizing through measuring and tracking how much time you are spending in the day praying and the reality of God answering prayer. The member when they have accepted a request for prayer from a believer within the site has the ability to pray for them and inform the other person that you have prayed for them with a click of a button. When the person who submitted the request sees God answer they can update all who have been praying by moving the request to the praise list. This allows for multiple levels of relationship to go before God with a real understanding of the need by the believer and celebrate God’s response. What has God been saying to you in your devotional time? Have you shared it with anyone close to you? Life A Flame does not force you to share anything with anyone but it does encourage you to connect with people that are close to you and take your relationship deeper through the “Sharps” part of the site. Hear you can invite a friend to become a mentor or mentee. These two groups of people have the ability to see into all areas of your Life A Flame account accept for your journal. Within the “Fuel” section of the site you have the ability to track your reading of the Word in real time or enter your time on the day in which you completed you reading. You can keep notes for yourself or share the “Fresh Wind” that God has given you. My prayer is that people will build a network of at least three mentors and three mentees that you can share what God is doing in your life. These people should be there to challenge you and encourage you on your journey with Christ and vice versa. This way you are more likely to live out what you know you have been told to do. The church that you attend is called your “Soma” or the body. The body of believers should be connected in prayer, heart and action. Life A Flame encourages that through the website and mobile applications for android and apple devices. You are able to see prayer request and praises of members and lift them up to God. Members of the site are able to see what is coming up in the life of the church, register for the event and see who else from the Soma is going. Life A Flame is not a free site. All believers have the ability to try the site for 30 days for free and after that membership start at $1.00 a year. There are many types of membership and length of times for which you can purchase one. The cost for the membership is to cover the expenses of the site and begin a scholarship fund to encourage biblically sound, traditionally skilled missionaries to change the world by focusing on Christ while in school and for five years after. Missionaries are mainly not allowed to go on the mission field with debt. Most believers in Christ today come out of school with debt and desire to get rid of it at all cost. My prayer is to shift the believer’s mind from the short term debt of school to their longterm debt in Christ. I desire to see God show out through His people locally, nationally and internationally. Within Life A Flame there are many sections to the site that have not been mentioned and more that is being added daily. Each section recognizes an area of potential growth for the believer no matter how long you have been in Christ.
