Landed a Nice over slot trout last night.
Good chances of running into this size and larger under the dock lights and bridges at night. Now is a great time to plan a night trip. The temps in the day can be brutal and the fish can be lazy. Trips on foot and in kayaks can be done.
As whodini says “the freaks come out at night.”

Hello everyone, I hope y’all are having a good day.
The snook are biting in the river, and the flounder are still around, for some reason I can’t share a video at the moment. Snook are not in season for eating but they are definitely on for catch and release. If you want to come get your drag peeled shoot me a message.

And remember, as much as I love fishing, I also love exploring. If fishing isn’t your thing I also offer hiking/foraging trips.
On these trips we will focus on how to go about identifying plants, fungi, insects, and animals. And we might find something to eat in the process.

Hello everyone, I hope y’all are having a great summer.
For some reason I’m not able to share a video but I’ll still give an update in the river.
Flounder are still around, and while the snook aren’t in season for keeping, they are definitely in season for catching.
Night fishing has been good around the bridges, and docks.
I have days or nights available on the wekeends, and evenings available for the week days.
If you want to get out and get your drag peeled, now is a good time.

Don’t forget, as much as I love fishing, I love exploring. I offer guided hikes/foraging trips as well. In these hikes we will discuss what processes to go through for plant/fungi identification, potentially do some foraging, identify animals/insects, and just plain enjoy nature.

The flounder are in the river strong right now and from my experience it’s only going to get better. Limits are likely as well as a nice snook to top it off. It’s a great time to get in the water and bend some rods! I have days available until June 9th so if you want to fill your cooler send me a message!

Had a family from El Paso out on th kayaks yesterday. We island hopped and check out the wildlife while casting some bait.
It was a stingray kind of day with 5 landed along with a load of snapper and blowfish. No bigs for the day but everyone had a great time and got to go home with food.
