Route 66 Centennial

So its been a FULL YEAR now that the US U.S. Route 66 Centennial Commission has made a single post on Facebook, updated the website, and so far to this day has never hosted a "PUBLIC" meeting to help the nation celebration of America's Mother Road. I am posting this to remind you that we are having a celebration. It may not be 100% the best it could had been by having a responsible, capable U.S. Route 66 Centennial Commission but that never happen. They were already 3 years late forming, so it was expected. They are supposedly going announce something, but who cares at this point. I will say that a lot of the states have stepped up and take care of making sure they carry the responsibility of making sure that visitors from all over the world that come to 66 each year to drive the amazing road get something to make major memories. There are of course several major events that happen every year and some have done an amazing job to keep it going in a large scale which includes the Route 66 Road Fest which is the Nations LARGEST event for Route 66 Centennial and again they will be doing it this year and for the final year in 26. The flood of merchandise has also been interesting as again because of there not being a "National" branding for the Centennial that complicated things in having merchandise that symbolizes the embodiment of our nations famous road. I have tried to be consistent and providing people options. We are working to launch for the final year our website on something that will hold meaning to the centennial for millions as keepsakes. With all this said, it's about what makes up the road still back in 1926 and after 100 years it's the people, places, and landmarks. Just the other day Today Sunday did an amazing story which is also on this page you can see. That also helps others know , enjoy, and relive the memories of the last 100 years. This also comes to conclude that we will also start to celebrate the NATIONS 250th Anniversary right along side of 66 in 26. Then of course we can't forget our most loved Disney Characters from Pixar "Cars" as they help children celebrate and learn as well about our most famous road and how it changed America to what it is today. Side tracked on 66 is some of the best parts of taking the trip from Chicago to LA. Here is a great example. This is actually about 10 min off 66 in Flagstaff on the famous 89A to Sedona. Take a break, stop for a picnic lunch, take it all in as this is part of the reason and beauty of driving on America's Mother Road. This is something that no other city on Route 66 can claim and this is huge for the Route 66 itself and will promote the entire route but to be made part of the list is huge. The mentions for Route 66 are also included so there is no mistaking it. Route 66 still has the major pull and thanks to the Lowell Observatory, we are on top 100 in the world places to visit. Time Magazine comes out with a list every year and it's known to make places known but this hits at the best possible time ( pun ).

This is going to be expanded on in multiple places but this gives the entire Route 66 acknowledgment that it still is part of the best parts of the USA. This is why we are important to make sure we mention, discuss, and highlight each cities places like this. Every city on 66 has a location on 66 that stands out and makes it a must stop. So, which is yours. The opportunity to expand on this list is great for everyone. Join us in saying congratulations to the Lowell Observatory on the major accomplishments it has given over the 100 years it's also been there making history. The two together are priceless. IMPORTANT NOTICE - OATMAN, AZ sustained a large building fire downtown last night. Please make sure sure you extreme caution when traveling on 66 into Oatman today. I don't have the most current info but you can always check online. This is super sad as Route 66 lost some history last night and why making the drive is so important to make that memory while you can because you never know what will be gone tomorrow, including you. We said from the start we would do things unique and different. Well here are a few of the new designs for shirts that will be coming soon to Etsy and other online outlets. Our focus is on the 100th of course, but we are also going to get away from the same looks that others do. Our designs will be thought provoking, stylish, and unique.

So, here is a look at some of the first two coming. We also have other things that are done differently then from the standard things you expect. Our stickers are already hologram, glitter, clear, unlike the other regular Route 66 stickers out there now. The next is how we do our pins, keychains, and a few other limited editions of some of the favorite things people like to collect, show off, and share. Then finally we are going to showcase a few very exclusive and high end items that make total sense when you travel the route for the centennial. These are going to be something that you can use and then continue to use for years to come. They will hold the memories of your part to the centennial in a very high end way. So, more coming soon! OK, here is a small update, check out the cool stuff coming. Pins are now in, and more to come. There is also a major limited edition items coming. Everything we will be doing is strictly for the 100th and we will not be offering regular Route 66 items. There is so much more out there that there is no reason we should make more of it. Our total focus is for YOU to have the best possible selections of items to be keepsakes for the 100th.

Everything we do is exclusively ours and you will be able to get them at select mom and pops in the coming months. We also will have it online from EBay, Etsy, and Amazon Store coming soon. Keep watching for more cool stuff each month after we launch the stores. Again, our focus has been doing it the right way, and the smart way. To much to choose from makes it harder to get one of everything.

So how does AI look at the centennial. Have you wondered what computers have been taught about Route 66. Well here is the recent requests I did for new logos and art work from a "Quantum Computer" which it took the computer only 1.2 seconds to generate these images. Again, amazing what our future will have stored about the next 100 years. Thought you would enjoy these. Just a look into our Route 66 Future.

Oh, I did have one that had a female robot standing next to the numbers 66. I deleted that one real quick. That was way too much. The computer did see the skyline of Chicago in the first one and desert. The other thing is the wording, it wasn't totally correct on the wording it used. Plus the word Centennial was used 4 times in one design alone. Overall , I think it was ok. Nothing great, just ok. Hope you like them. Let me know which one you like best. IT could make it to a T-shirt. - or sticker soon.
