An Antarctic fur seal showing off his whiskers in the South Shetland Islands. Male fur seals make their way down to Antarctica later in the season so can be seen on February & March voyages. They are the smallest of the Antarctic seals and rely on their thick fur coat (instead of blubber) to keep them warm.
