Summer is here, but there’s still plenty of availability at Water’s Edge on Little Pennesseewassee Pond in Norway! Sleeps up to 8 with three bedrooms, plus a full kitchen, bath, and a large window-lined living area with stunning views of the pond. This is a four season house, and a great spot to enjoy the quiet or to visit nearby towns and hiking trails. From June through mid-Sept we book in week-long blocks, Fri to Fri. It’s a chilly December morning, and we’re still waiting for snow! The pond is almost entirely skimmed over with ice, though, and it’s lovely and quiet. This is a great time for a Water’s Edge getaway. Norway is a wonderful spot for Christmas shopping and for a drink and a bite at Cafe Nomad. And once the snow flies, remember that the house is within an hour’s drive of 5 different ski mountains. Happy holidays to you!

It’s wonderfully clear, cold, and quiet here at Water’s Edge. I’ve been puttering around and getting things cleaned up for the winter…stowing the boats, chairs, etc. inside, cutting down the garden, and more. The pond is still open but just starting to freeze near the shore. It won’t be long now!

We have had steady bookings at Water’s Edge since late June, and I want to say thank you! Thanks to those of you who stayed up at WE this summer, those who helped us get the word out by sharing posts, and everyone following this page! But Water’s Edge is a 4-season house, and as you can see, it’s a beautiful time for a visit to Norway. And as we get closer to winter, a reminder that the house is a mere 10 minutes from the groomed cross country ski and snowshoe trails at Norway’s own Roberts Farm Preserve and is an hour or less from 5 area ski mountains. And a reminder that as the season’s have changed, you can book a shorter stay of two or three nights at Water’s Edge. Send me a message to check on fall/winter availability, and thanks again!

Hello! I wanted to offer up a big “thank you” to friends and family who have shared a bunch of gorgeous photos of Water’s Edge over the past few days. Also, thanks for staying here and for helping to make our first summer season a successful one! But, folks, though September is here, a visit to W.E. in the late summer/fall is still a worthwhile experience! The water is warm, the house is cozy, and we’ve adjusted our stay length to a minimum of 3 nights instead of a full week. Come spend a long weekend here watching the loons, the muskrats, and the gradually changing leaves. Send me a PM if you’re interested in learning more and to check availability!!

We were up at Water’s Edge yesterday putting in a garden with the help of our friend Cammie. If the deer don’t eat it, our guests will have access to fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, kale , chard, strawberries, and lots of flowers! A jump in the pond after was such a treat!

Howdy! Been getting a lot of questions about pricing, so let me address that. We’re renting Water’s Edge in week-long chunks and asking $1000 for the week...$500 up front as a deposit with the balance due a month before your stay begins. Also a reminder to reach out soon, as we will shortly be opening up W.E. to the world at large via Airbnb and expect the weeks to fill up quickly!

+++ We are now accepting bookings for 2021 at Water's Edge! +++
Yeehaw! The work is done, the painting is completed (updated interior photos coming soon), and aside from some ongoing deep cleaning, the house is ready for YOU!
Here are the details:
- We're renting the place weekly, so a one week minimum is required, and rentals run from Friday to Friday.
- To give us a little bit of extra time to get things squared away, the first available week will be 5/21 - 5/28.
- The following weeks are NOT available: 6/18 - 6/25 and 8/20 - 9/3.
- The cost is $1000/week, with half due right away and the rest due upon arrival.
- As a reminder, the house comfortably sleeps 8. There is a kayak, inflatable paddle board, and large canoe available for use on the pond. And we love 'em, but no pets!

We are beginning some renovations at Water's Edge. John and I (Sonya) will continue to freshen it up with new paint but we've hired someone to put in new floors throughout and finish the basement. We will keep you posted on our progress.
