This busy summer travel season has resulted in longer TSA security lines nationwide, including at PIT. As a result, the TSA is making some changes to the checkpoint's operation locally during the early morning rush hours.

Starting on July 8 from 4 to 7 a.m. Mondays through Fridays, the alternate checkpoint will be dedicated exclusively to TSA Precheck passengers, while the main checkpoint will be dedicated to non-precheck passengers. The TSA believes this will streamline and speed up the passenger experience. After 7 a.m., the checkpoints will return to normal operation.

CLEAR and CLEAR PRECHECK PASSENGERS: Use the main checkpoint ONLY and you will still have all your CLEAR and precheck privileges there.

The long-term fix is that our new terminal, opening in 2025, will have an expanded security checkpoint to speed up the passenger experience. In the meantime, we continue to work with the TSA and our airline partners to find ways to maximize efficiency for our passengers.

1st full day in Hawaii, seen a sea turtle right on the beach while eating breakfast, Waipi’o lookout, Akaka Falls, roadside fruit stand for lunch, snorkeling at the resort bucket gave us a bucket list checkoff swimming in the Pacific Ocean, one of the coolest things we have ever done seen lots of fish and a snake looking thing that made me tread water fast and made Justin laugh. Dinner at Binchotam Japenese restaurant at the resort was amazing we shared the seafood platter ! So far Hawaii has not disappointed, stay tuned for day 2 ! Aloha ❤️
