Please be aware that on May 3, 2023, the REAL ID Act, passed by Congress in 2005, will go into effect. The REAL ID Act require all states to adhere to minimum security standards in order to make all IDs more consistent and secure. Starting in May of 2023, everyone will need a REAL ID to access the following places:
Certain federal facilities
Airports: Boarding federally regulated commercial aircraft
You can check if you are REAL ID compliant by looking at your ID. If you see a gold or black star or a bear with a star on your ID, then you have the correct kind of license.
