⛳ Ocean Shores Golf Course - Challenging, Yet Thoroughly Playable
As one of the Pacific Northwest’s Most Unique Golf Settings, Ocean Shores Golf Course is a challenging, yet fun-to-play course. Par for the course is 71. Don’t be fooled by the modest 6,252 yardage of Ocean Shores Golf Course since the heavy ocean air, and moderate trade winds make it play much longer.

You will find that the course offers both the openness of a links style course and the shot-making challenges of a narrow, wooded course.

The front nine includes three par 5s, three par 4s and three par 3s weaving through serene stands of lofty fir, hemlock and spruce trees. Here, accuracy is rewarded more than power.

Starting the back nine, you’ll immediately notice the change to links-style golf. If you’re lucky enough to have some wind you just might think you’re in Scotland, playing generous fairways lined with beach grass and water.

Ocean Shores also offers some of the best greens in the State. They are all elevated and maintained at a very brisk speed in comparison to most public facilities. The course offers excellent drainage in the winter, especially the front nine. Even if a couple inches of rain fall during the night, no standing water will be found the next day.

😙🤌 Family-owned La Spiaggia Ristorante, located in the heart of Ocean Shores, serves traditional Italian cuisine made from scratch in a cozy, intimate setting. Chef Doug is classically trained and believes excellent ingredients speak for themselves. Their highly-rated menu changes seasonally and includes local favorites like house-made Gnocchi, Spinach and Ricotta Rotoli, Tiramisu, and Imported Wines.

🐾 Is there anything happier than a beach dog? Ocean Shores is dog-friendly, with many accommodations, restaurant patios, and parks allowing leashed dogs. Chinook Park has a fenced off-leash with two areas for large and small dogs. Our off-leash dog beach is located between Ta**us Boulevard and Butter Clam Street. This spot is excellent for well-trained dogs to play fetch or dip in the ocean. We also have businesses offering dog walking, daycare, grooming, and self-wash services.

The Ocean Shores Arts and Crafts Festival is the biggest show on the West Coast and promises a wonderful experience for both young and old! This year, we have an entire gallery dedicated to Elton Bennett's art. His daughter Barbara will be here all three days to tell the story of the most famous printmaker in the history of the Pacific Northwest and to answer any questions about her father's works on display. If you love great food, fun, live music, arts, and crafts, join us from August 30 - September 1 at the Ocean Shores Convention Center.

🛹 Get stoked at the North Beach Skatepark! Ocean Shores' community skatepark has a super fun mini ramp with an extension, three quarterpipes, a fun box, and a ledge to skate. It is located between Bennett's Fish Shack and the Ocean Shores Golf Course. Shout out to the community for their efforts in creating and maintaining this great park.

📍 Visit Ocean Shores, a delightful beach town on the Washington Coast boasting a remarkably diverse landscape. Situated at the intersection of Grays Harbor's North Bay and the Pacific Ocean, Ocean Shores is located on a six-mile-long peninsula, offering an array of natural wonders beyond its stunning coastline.

🐦 Explore the Oyhut Wildlife Recreation Area located at the southern end of the peninsula. Covering over 600 acres, it's home to local wildlife and is one of four remaining nesting sites in Washington for the western snowy plover.

🚣 For a unique coastal adventure, bring your kayak, canoe, boat, or stand-up paddleboard to experience 23 miles of freshwater canals and Duck Lake.

🌲 Discover the Weatherwax Nature Preserve. This amazing Coastal Rainforest and trail system gives hikers an up-close experience with over two dozen diverse types of vegetation, including giant Sitka spruce trees and nearly 60 mushroom varieties. The forest is also home to approximately 100 different animal species.

📍 Hiking Weatherwax Trail - Weatherwax Nature Preserve is a surprising gem in the middle of Point Brown Peninsula. The preserve spreads across approximately 121 acres and is home to more than two dozen diverse types of vegetation, including giant Sitka spruce trees and nearly 60 mushroom varieties, and is home to approximately 100 different animal species. It has a 1.2-mile looping trail system that skirts Duck Lake and showcases our stunning temperate coastal forest with magnificent old trees, forest vegetation and habitat, and mature wetlands. The trail is relatively flat and easy to navigate for walkers of all ages. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trail if the owners clean up after them if needed. Please note that the trailhead has parking for about six cars, and there are no restrooms

Hello Ocean Shores! We are happy to announce that we have been working with some of our favorite destination marketing professionals to develop a new look and online experience for visitors to Ocean Shores. Over the past six months, we have been developing updated branding, fresh content, a new website (coming soon), and a comprehensive tourism marketing plan to promote our beautiful home and what we believe is the best destination on the Washington Coast.

The Ocean Shores Marketing Coalition has come together with a common goal: to inspire travel, create awareness, inform and educate our visitors about Ocean Shores and everything our local businesses offer, and create a beautiful website that supports travelers' trip planning. We are deeply grateful for your support and trust in us with this important project, and we are excited for the future of Ocean Shores.
