Love, love, love NOT having big heavy bags to schlep around. Remember: LESS is MORE when you are on travelling.
Here r the bags were using for nearly three weeks in Europe. There’s an Osprey, a Cotopaxi, n two “Hynes Eagle” bags we bot on Amazon for $40 each just to c if they would hold up - so far so good! Honestly thot we’d b bag shopping 5 days in. We pack four days of clothes, wear a fifth day, n plan on doing laundry about every five days. R villa in France had machines so washing was super easy, n we brought Tide pods from home. Xtra room in r bags was packed w snacks from home which we replace w travel trinkets we pick up along the way - nothing large or fancy. W all the covid confusion over here, we found an app that gives us the latest info on all the countries’ travel requirements: “re-open EU.” Highly recommend this app if ur headed this way any time soon. Most countries take euros (not Switzerland!) and in addition to some emergency cash ($US) we keep in a money belt, we withdraw money from ATMs every few days as needed, n mostly pay w a Marriott credit card. Most places have Uber over here, which we have used, but we have also taken taxis using the “Free Now” app which is easy peasy. We use Google Maps for walking directions or public transportation (local trains, metros, buses, trams - we’ve used them all). We use T-Mobile which includes a basic international plan w free texting, limited data (enough to use r apps), n $.25/minute for international calls. All hotels n most public places have WiFi (some better than others). Hope this is helpful, n happy to answer any questions…
