I love seeing the critters up at the lake. It seems like I see something new every time I come up. This trip I saw on of our resident gators sunning in its favorite spot on the bank and a WHITE squirrel. It was so pretty! I have never seen a white squirrel before. So glad I was able to get a picture!!

In past years I have tried almost every remedy in the World for White Flies on my vegetable plants and none of them have worked so this year I decided to try Lady Bugs. 🤞🏻 We shall see!!

#4 “Popular Lake Okechobee fishing hot spots include South Bay, the Shoal, Monkey Box, Harney Pond and the North Shore. If wind is factor, keep in mind that Harney Pond is a bit more protected than the four other spots. You’ll have better luck if you can find clear water that hasn’t been stirred up by the wind.” Did I hear someone say “Harney Pond”? I just happen to know an amazing Airbnb 2 blocks away. 😉

When referencing waterways that are synonymous with big bass, you can bet that Lake Okeechobee is sure to be at the top of the list.

This is my favorite time of the year at the lake!! There is nothing like it. Beautiful breezes and the orchids are puttong on quite the show. I was a little worried about our mango tree after it took some storm damage from hurricane Nicole but it doesn’t look like that is going to be a problem. Best mangos ever!! I can hardly wait!

In case you haven’t heard… We are so excited to announce that we have closed on a second property at the lake. Woohoo! Last week we made it official. We purchase our next door neighbor’s home. This home has some really cool features and we can’t wait to get it set up. It should sleep somewhere between 8-10 people. Stay tuned. We will keep you updated.

Just rescued these two guys wondering around our lake house and was rewarded with some amazing sights. They had wondered a across the highway and made it all the way down the street to our yard. Glad that I was able to get them home safe and sound.

Kudos to this nursing home and Tractor Supply for thinking outside the box to keep their residence happy.

The residence used “no harm hooks” and night crawlers to catch the fish.

I am very sad to announce that Big Dottie will not be getting a little sister any time soon. After weeks of inspections and negotiations we were unable to come to an agreement with the Sellers. The home just needs to much work so we felt that is was best for us to move on. It wasn’t an easy decision but sometimes hard decisions need to be made. 😢

Meet Big Dottie’s little sister. So excited to announce that we may be getting a new addition to the family. We JUST went under Contract. If inspections go well on Thursday Big Dottie’s will have two locations, Big Dottie’s - Harney Pond and Big Dottie’s - Buckhead. Woohoo! Wish us luck!! 🤞🏻🙏
