This holiday weekend, if you’re heading out to the lake, the beach, the pool, or just spending more time outside than normal, make sure you take some precautions to stay safe and prevent heatstroke:

🌴Stay in the shade during mid-day hours
👚Wear clothing to protect exposed skin
👒 Wear a wide-brimmed hat to shade your face, head, ears and neck
🍹 Avoid alcoholic beverages
🧊 Drink plenty of water
🕶 Wear sunglasses that blocks UVA/UVB rays
🧴 Wear sunscreen (at least SPF 15) and re-apply at least every two hours

Hello! I'm Lynn, owner of Pro Familia Homes - an airbnb and short term rental co-hosting company in Oklahoma City. My husband, Jeff (he's just Ken) is the other/better half of our business.

A few things about me, I:
- Am originally from McPherson, KS
- Was a singer, dancer, cheerleader in high school
- Graduated with my B.S. from
- Have a Masters in Public Health from .publichealth
- Used to work in state govt. (hello, inefficiencies!)
- Will drink unsweet iced tea at any time of day, all day
- Used to run (16 miles was my longest run ever!)
- Love doing yoga (it helps that running injury I sustained 😢)
- Can whistle any song or jingle
- Am an ENTJ personality type
- Am a planner & make itineraries for my vacations
- Loath inefficiencies
- Love to karaoke
- Enjoy gardening
- Raise chickens for eggs & comedic relief
- Like using checklists to ensure things get done right
- Am the oldest child of three girls
- Have no kids and one fur-baby,
- Enjoy traveling
- Traveled to Italy, Finland, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary
- Bought my first house in 2008 in OKC
- Don’t prefer cats (they’re little terrorists)

As a short term rental owner, if you offer your guests a pool during their stay, it’s important that you make the pool a safe place. With a few precautions you can give your guests life saving information and tools in case of an emergency.

🛝 Remove diving boards and slides
📏 Add depth markers on all four sides of the pool
🛟 Have a lifesaving ring or buoy nearby
🩱 Add a “No Diving” sign near shallow areas
🦄 Remove pool toys and floaties

If you had a crap 2022, today is Chinese New Year’s Eve! Get your fresh start in the year of the rabbit. Bring prosperity into your life by following these 4 tips:

1) Wear red. The ancient beast is scared of this color so wearing red will help keep bad things from your life.
2) Don’t curse or argue during the first few days of the new year. If you do, those hard feelings will follow you throughout the year.
3) Eat fish, a dish associated with good luck.
4) Clean your house before midnight. Clean out and sweep away any bad luck from last year. Be sure to finish before midnight or else you’ll be sweeping away your new good fortune!
