Hello! An update, we’re working to see if someone else can still get the fall league going! We will keep you posted. The date for the Harrison Elementary Fundraiser is September 21st so please mark your calendars and plan to support a great cause.

Hello! Unfortunately we were unsuccessful in finding someone to run the fall bocce season. The commitment was more than we anticipated and we can’t continue to run the league right now. We’ll be looking for an alternative option to make sure BigOBocce keeps rolling next spring. We’re sorry to disappoint you. Make sure to register for the Harrison Elementary Bocce Tournament Fundraiser this fall! Matt and Dani will be putting out information on this site!!!

Hello bocce friends! We are exploring the option of having someone else run the fall league. We will update you by the end of the week. Thanks for your patience!

Hey all,

So sorry to report that due to rain and forecast for tonight, bocce will be cancelled. We are really hoping that the trend of rain on Tuesdays will not be an issue for the remainder of the season. We can only imagine that you're as disappointed as we are. We will be in talks with management at Midtown Crossing to discuss the possibility of extending the season and will keep you all posted. Till then, stay safe and dry.

Reminder the Captain’s meeting will be held on Sunday, June 2nd at 6pm at Turner Park in Midtown Crossing!!!!

05/25/2019

Hello! Just a reminder that registration ends at 5pm on Monday, May 27th! Make sure to have all your players registered and paid by the deadline. We are making adjustments for teams that have reached out about free agents this weekend. Please email [email protected] with any questions!

05/07/2019

Registration is now open! A few items to note regarding registration/start of the season:

1. The team captain must register first and select a team name. The team captain can then email other players directly and invite them to join the team. This is the easiest way to register your team. Additional team members must register after the team captain and select the team name that the captain has chosen. Captains – PLEASE make sure that your team members know the team name.

2. All players – please make sure to include your email address if you would like to receive league information. This includes updates regarding cancellation due to weather, etc. An additional reminder that we won't have t-shirts, but we can't remove the question.

3. Make sure to register and pay by 8:00PM on May, 27th. YOU MUST HAVE 4 PERSONS REGISTERED to have a complete team. If you do not have a full team, free agents will be assigned to your team at the close of registration.

4. TIME CHANGE: The Captains’ meeting will take place June 2nd at 6:00PM at Turner Park in Midtown Crossing.

5. NOTE: We apologize that at this time, League Apps requires us to ask your gender and only provides two options. We are attempting to have this changed and apologize to all our friends who do not identify within a binary system.

Any questions should be directed to [email protected]. See you on the field!

Hello BigO!Bocce Players!

We’ve missed you! It was a long, cold winter, but we are happy to announce that we’ve dusted off the bocce sets and are ready for the Summer and Fall 2019 seasons!

We’re excited to announce that this year, registration will take place via a new website at https://www.midtowncrossing.com/events/bocce-ball. Our friends at Turner Park - Midtown Crossing helped us streamline the registration and communications process by hosting BigO!Bocce on the Midtown Crossing website. We are striving to make this process as quick and easy as possible for our players. We will no longer be using the bigobocce.com website. Additionally all email communications should be directed to [email protected].

A few additional logistics:
1) Cost of registration will be $25, with a $3 transaction fee, for a total of $28 per person per season.
2) Registration will be open Sunday, May 5, 2019 and will run through Friday, May 27 at 5PM.
3) The Captain’s meeting will take place on Sunday, June 2nd at 6:00pm on the field of Turner Park in Midtown Crossing. This is a great opportunity to meet the other captains and get a refresher on the league rules/bocce basics if needed.
4) Please visit our website https://www.midtowncrossing.com/events/bocce-ball for your teams’ weekly playing times.
5) Announcements will be made via email and our page.

As in previous years, all games will be held at 6pm and 7pm at Turner Park in Midtown Crossing. Dates for the Summer 2019 Season are as follows:

Hello! As many of you know, Big O Bocce was originally formed by Matt and Dani Herzog who led it for five years before passing on the torch to us. Dani is the school counselor at Harrison Elementary School and also part of the production team of their school's musical program. This program is an amazing opportunity for students from all backgrounds and worlds to experience theater and all the benefits that come with being part of a production. In order to keep the program running for another year, they need our help! Last year they held their first annual bocce tournament that many of you participated in. These funds went directly to the theater production and allowed them to put on 101 Dalmatians for the whole school. Now it's time to help with this year's production!

The SECOND annual Harrison Bocce Tournament will be on Saturday, September 22 at 11 am. This year, the event will be held on our fields here at Midtown Crossing's Turner Park. The registration fee of $30 will include lunch from Chicago Dawgs, registration fee and equipment. Winning team will win a regulation bocce set, trophies for each member and official bragging rights! (You are welcome to bring your own adult beverages as well)

You can register a team of 4, as a pair or as an individual. To register, email Dani at [email protected] or call her at (402)554-8535 ext 1017. Registrations are due by Thursday, September 13.
