Checked out the Ugly Diner this morning in Gulf Shores. Nothing fancy, just good basic diner food. Seems to be more locals, so you get to avoid crazy busy tourist lines and tourist prices.

Lastnight we checked out CoastAL! Great atmosphere, large place. Has a big gift shop, a restaurant, beach bar area and live music area in the middle. We had a small wait for a table of 6. We sat in the beach bar area. Got the pimento cheese appetizer, grouper (hubby complained it was small portion for $29) and I got shrimp tacos. Food and drink were good, little pricy but what isn't these days. I'm sure we will be back to check out the restaurant side. Oh and I highly recommend the Island Water.

Today was a rainy day so we decided to day drink. Found a great happy hour. We went to the gulf shores location but there are several locations. Definitely worth checking out and prices were pretty reasonable

Had a delicious dinner last night at Pier House. Less than a mile from our condo. I had the mushrooms, seafood pasta spicy, cheesecake egg rolls and a watermelon margarita! Slept like a baby last night.
