Rooster on the fly; is it on your bucket list?
This session will talk about targeting Rooster fish and other in shore and blue water species to be taken on the fly in the waters of the East Cape of Baja, Mexico.
Fly patterns, rod, reel and line needs, fishing techniques, guided and non guided options, accommodations in the area, and of course, plenty of great pics. An interactive question and answer format will be taken throughout the session.

We will be taking a trip around the world as we tie both dries and nymphs for trout from every continent. Insights, origins and histories for each fly will be given. All of the flies will be fishable in our waters here in the West, proof that flytying/fishing is a global art form.

Tenakara and furled leaders
Introduction to Tenkara by Brent Auger (DRAGONtail Tenkara)
We will show you the basics of using a Tenkara fly rod from setup to casting and fishing technique. We will review some of the different lines and gear used in Tenkara. Question and answer session will follow the presentation.
Introduction Into Furling by Brandon Moon (Moonlit Fly Fishing)
We will go over the history of making furled leaders. You will also learn the basics of how to make furled leader. We will demonstrate the differences between a regular two strand leader and a three strand leader. Great opportunity to ask questions first hand on the process, and see what a high volume production set up looks like.

The class will look into the locations trophy trout are found, the conditions best suited to pursue large trout and how to increase your chances of catching a fish once it is found. The aim of this class is to help any angler have the chance of catching the trout of a lifetime and making it a repeatable process.
