One of my favorite holiday spots in Walt Disney World is the Grand Floridian Resort where you can find the iconic gingerbread house, made out of real gingerbread! Treats for sale include house-made Gingerbread Houses and Gingerbread Ornaments.

The culinary team starts mixing the fragrant dough for its life-size gingerbread house in May ahead of a two-month curing process. Individual shapes, from shingles to Mickey cookies, are baked and decorated throughout the summer and then stored for “construction” in November. The house itself takes three days to build. It’s so dreamy!

Beat the heat in the most lavish magical place, Four Seasons, Orlando. Did you know this resort is on WDW property? It’s a hidden gem! I love the lazy river and the adults only pool. Who needs a vaca?

Enjoyed a day at Typhoon Lagoon. WDW has two waterparks. Currently Typhoon Lagoon is open while Blizzard Beach is closed. Until we moved here, we had never gone to either. Boy were we missing out!

Dole Whip is one of the most iconic Disney desserts ever! This frozen dessert is dairy free, making it closer to a sorbet than an ice cream, but with a smoother consistency. Dole Whip comes in a classic pineapple, which is the flavor most people think of when they think of Dole Whip, but there are actually a LOT of options. There are also a LOT of places to grab a Dole Whip in and outside of the parks.
I was pixie dusted (gifted) this Simba Sunrise Dole Whip at Tamu Tamu in Animal Kingdom tonight while it was still 95 degrees out! It tasted like a dream! 🍍

Wondering when the cheapest time is for you to meet the Mouse? Within each year, January and February are the cheapest months to visit. January 8-11 and January 15 through mid-February 2024 are two relatively low-crowd date ranges that are cheapest.
Our youngest kids have back to back birthdays January 29th & 30th. We’ve spent multiple birthdays at Walt Disney World & Universal during these dates, and can confirm the value! Not only that, the weather is great & the crowds are low.

You may have heard about Refillable Resort Mugs in Walt Disney World… but do you know about Refillable Popcorn Buckets?! Refillable Popcorn Buckets are available in all four Disney World theme parks. The initial price of a standard Refillable Popcorn Bucket is $13.00 (excluding Specialty Premium Buckets which are pricier) and it comes filled with your first batch of hot, buttery POPCORN! Whenever you’re craving more popcorn, just visit any participating Popcorn Cart, and you can have it refilled with fresh popcorn for $2.25 (or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit, starting in 2024). These make awesome souvenirs!

Did you know Walt Disney World has Starbucks stores in Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios, plus two locations at Disney Springs?

The official specialty coffee provider for WDW, however, is Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Guests can easily find Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea kiosks serving specialty espresso beverages and tea drinks in each of the four theme parks, Disney Springs, Water Parks, and additional areas around the Resort!

Went to Animal Kingdom in the rain last night. We live 10 minutes away & love to run over when it’s raining because the park looks beautiful and is deserted. Found these 🦩 cupcakes at Flaming Tree Barbecue. Did you know a group of flamingos is called a flamboyance?
