‘Our stay in Florida this year was split between two villas, (our choice) this being the first and whilst we have stayed in Solana previously this is by far one of the best villas we have used.

Extremely well laid out and maintained, this villa is spotlessly clean, very tidy, the property literally has everything you need to have a great holiday and with Solana being a gated community & having the clubhouse it covers all the bases.

If you take nothing else from this review do yourself a favour and avoid the hit and miss hope of getting a “good” villa with the airlines, we dealt with Nick at Sungrove Villas and will not go anywhere else.”

“We stayed in this beautiful 4 bed villa in Calabay park this August (2024) for 3 weeks. The villa was comfortable with great beds. Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The pool was wonderful and location was great for exploring and park days. Very easy to deal with Nick and great communication. They went above and beyond to help us out as we were actually in a different villa with someone else, which was not so comfortable. Nick helped us find this villa and we had moved in within less than 24 hours of contacting him. Would 100% recommend and use again. The Brereton family from UK”

😎POOL DIRECTION😎

We thought we would share some information on pool directions in Orlando.

Many people ask for a South facing pool thinking it will get all day sun. This is correct to a degree, but there are many factors that affect how much sun the pool deck will get, such as time of year, if there is an extended deck (like in this photo) and if it's a single/double storey home.

In the summer months, the sun is so high in the sky (almost vertically above - 86 degrees to be accurate) due to Florida being so close to the equator, that the direction the pool faces is of little relevance.

The sun rises in the East, tracks towards the South and sets in the West. This means that in the cooler months when the sun is lower in the sky, a double storey home with an East facing pool will get direct sun in the morning, but as the sun tracks around during the day, an ever-increasing shadow will appear on the pool deck.

If the villa is single storey and/or the pool deck is extended, this should extend the length of the day you will get sun on the deck.

A northerly facing pool deck will get sun from the right in the morning and until late afternoon and as long as the pool is extended and/or the home is a single storey, you will still get sun on the extremities of the pool deck.

For the most amount of sun in the cooler months, it's best to select a Southerly facing pool deck which will ensure maximum sun on the deck.

You will notice that Northerly facing pools have more shadow in the winter months but not much shadow in summer months, so a single storey home is more desirable in winter months if the pool has a Northerly direction.
