Seabrook is celebrating 20 years! This calls for us to tell you how we came to be here. In 2012, we were in desperate need of a getaway. 2011 was hard- we lost a wife, mother, and grandmother to cancer. We decided to plan a trip to check out Seabrook to celebrate a 4 year old's birthday, and this was the best decision we've ever made. These photos symbolize our coming together as a family after a traumatic few years. This is when we started dreaming, joking, and laughing about someday owning a home in Seabrook. We kept coming back, year after year, continuing to dream as the kids got older and older. Eventually, in 2019, we felt ready to take the big step and found what is now . We are so happy to be a part of this town's history. It has been healing in more ways than you can imagine. We aren't attempting to make grandma's teddy bear cakes any longer (see the last photo of our first and last attempt), but she lives on in our hearts and memories. We know if she were with us, she'd be drinking wine with us on the porch.

One of the strangest things to go missing in our time as vacation rental owners was the old fridge. We arrived after the holidays to find a most unappealing loaner fridge in the kitchen. After some investigative work, we learned the old fridge went kaput right in the middle of the busy holiday season! Our new fridge was delivered and installed today. What a relief. Thank you to those who stayed with us in the last few months and put up with not having a water dispenser or an ice maker. We're just glad the old fridge made it through the summer!

Who else is ready to come out of hibernation? We recently realized we haven't posted here since November. Now that spring is coming soon, it's time for our reawakening!

We have plenty of room for your late winter and early spring at the beach. Seabrook has 2024 Springfest starting up and lots of events planned. The famous Seabrook sunset will be ready for you whenever you show up, but don't delay in booking a stay- Seabrook starts to get busy again very soon!

If you've been following us during any past holiday seasons, you know we decorate indoors and outdoors in a winter holiday style. This year, we'll do the same! We've designated ourselves an official "Holiday Home" in Seabrook. Decorations go up before Thanksgiving. While we are quite booked on upcoming weekends, we do have some easy weekday availability if you want to slip in for a few days of peace and good cheer.

Autumn is here! You may be grieving the end of summer, and we hope you had a glorious one. There is much to enjoy in Washington in the fall, as well. In Seabrook, it's the sunsets (always special but more so in autumn), fall decorations, rainy days by the fire, changing foliage colors, walks in the woods, the pumpkin spice latte from , cozy dining at any of the restaurants, the Bigfoot Brewfest, and a slower pace of life, to name a few. We're missing many things. What do you love about fall in Seabrook?

Have you heard the scoop about how we celebrate the winter holidays in Seabrook? There's a parade, snow, tree lighting, and new this year...an ice rink! We will be decorated by Thanksgiving and ready to share our holiday cheer!

In addition to some baby gear, our kitchen supplies needed some additions. Done! And don't hesitate to tell us what else is needed. Our guests have been so helpful!

It's that time of year! What else do we need to make guest stays more comfortable? The last time we asked, you suggested a high chair and a crib, among other things. These were added in July. Have you used them since then? Are they still in the house? We put both in the closet of the downstairs primary bedroom, which doesn't mean that's where they're still located.

We want to take a moment to thank our summer rental guests. Thank you so much for choosing Let It Be for your Seabrook vacations. It's been an epic summer in Seabrook, and we are thrilled to have shared our home with you for part of it! This is a great time to look ahead to booking fall and winter vacations in Seabrook, when the festivities continue, but it might be a little quieter in town. We know there are lots of fun activities planned. Have you heard about the ice rink?

Seven of us decided to join a guided kayaking tour into the ghost forest on our last day in Seabrook. I didn't bring my phone (trying to avoid a water-related phone disaster), and this photo was taken by one of our teens at the start of the trip before getting to the actual ghost forest. This was a fun, easy paddle, and after some hot and sunny days, the overcast weather was quite pleasant for this little adventure.

We admit, we're a little rebellious. Hence, the use of rainbow decorations and progress flags for Independence Day. Speaking of rebellious, another trip highlight was venturing into the new art gallery in downtown Pacific Beach, .pac.beach. We found jewelry and gifts and tons of cool art. This is definitely not your typical beachside gallery, and we LOVE it! Check it out when you're in town.
