We are taking our boat Windsong, together with friends, on an adventure across the Pacific! Windsong is build in Los Angeles in the 70's, a real one of a kind design, a wooden, classic, beauty! She's in good shape for her age, but before this big trip we have to give her some Love, sweat & tears and hard labour in Ensenada Mexico. When she's ready, we will sail her via the Pacific Islands to New Z
ealand, and hopefully even further! This is how we got Windsong:
My girlfriend and I met summer last year while working as crew on big traditionally rigged sailing vessels. During last winter, we both had to go to school (She to finish high school, me to go to the Dutch Nautical School for sailing ships in Enkhuizen). To kill time we had a hobby; looking at sailing boat adverts on the internet. It didn't matter to us where the boat was. She was for sale in Los Angeles, so I went over to have a look at her and fell in love.
