Please help us find the perfect home or foster home for Foxy and Tango! If you can't adopt, foster, if you can't foster, share this post, if you can't share it comment on it.

Do you dream of having a pair of highly affectionate huskies who don't need to be exercised for hours a day? I've got the pups for you!

Location: Tacoma, WA
Dogs name: Foxy and Tango
Breed: husky mix
Weight: 55 #
Gender: female and male
Date of birth: 12/14/2018
Medical history: Tango has had one hip surgery due to hip dysplasia but does not need any current medications or special care.
Cat friendly? Hard no.
Dog friendly? Yes
Small animal friendly? Maybe small dogs, but no prey animals of any sort
Child friendly? Yes

Rehoming fee : $50 can be waived in the right circumstances.

Searching for the perfect loving home or foster home for two bonded littermate husky mixes. 3 years old. Male Tango, Female "Foxy" Foxtrot.

Tango(grey) has a more typical husky personality and Foxy(black and white) has a more mildly nervous herding breed type personality.

They do all the typical things huskies do, but at much less the intensity most huskies do. Breed familiar adopters are preferred, huskies are not for beginners but I have extensive Northern Breed experience and would consider these dogs oddly well behaved for huskies. Only hard no is that they have instinctual prey drive- NO CATS, no small dogs. They lived with children their entire lives and do quite wonderfully with them. Above toddler age children would be best just due to their size.

Exercise needs are relatively low, but they do prefer at least a small yard to lounge outside in. They are easily contained by a 3-4' fence.

Crate trained and about 55-60 # each.

They are incredibly affectionate. None of that husky aloof behavior. If you want a cuddly duo, they are the ones for you.

They are insured through Embrace Pet insurance, and the policy can be transferred to new owners. Tango has congenital hip dysplasia and has had one hip surgery. Both dogs have been fixed. Due to this extensive exercise isn't necessary or suggested.

Home check and application required.

Contact me directly or go to their little website to apply.

For Foster or Adoption:
Always wanted a husky but knew you couldn't provide 6 hours of exercise a day and your yard isn't Fort Knox to keep them in?
Well have I got the pair for you! Bonded littermate pair of 3 year old husky mixes, low energy needs, 3' fence keeps em in, and 15-30 min of activities (walks, car rides, training, gardening with you, food puzzles, etc) is generally enough to stop any digging! Fortunately digging is merely recreational and not to escape. Oddly well behaved for young huskies 🙌 Only hard no is cats. Highly affectionate. Fixed, shots, chipped, and healthy. Insurance policy that can follow them to a new owner.
Foxy is the female black and white, aka the Brains. Tango is the grey, aka the Beauty.
If you're not ready to adopt financially or due to the years, long commitment, you can still help by fostering! I will provide all of their physical needs and finance you to love on these babies. Human, Dog, and kid friendly.
I love them very, very much but we already have a "no cats" dog here (who's also "no dogs") and a 3 way split and 3 high prey drive dogs just is just not safe for my kitty boys long term or fair to all of us to be so divided. Thus trying to find, even a foster home would be best. Their human family has had a hell of a time keeping housing after surviving an abuse situation and it's become clear they can't find housing with two pups. I did decide to step in and handle their rehoming/fostering as we have fostered them before.
Located in Tacoma currently but willing to travel. ❤️

One of my favorite things about the cabin is also the reason we've been closed for nearly two months. At the beginning of January a tree fell on Nanook's Retreat, damaging the roof of the bunkhouse all the way through. The repair work is nearly complete and it's time for us to clean it up in anticipation of being open for guests again.
