To the next person who says "they have it made" and "oh he makes that good money" and "can't hide money, son"... I just want to you stop for a minute...
Have you ever stopped to think about what your actually saying? You always have to give up something to have something, right? Have you ever thought about "at what expense" we are able to have that? Probably not.
If "having it made" is spending more time away from your wife/husband, kids, family etc. than with them, then I guess your right. I do have it made. If "having it made" is going to bed for the third month in a row without your spouse, then no doubt, we've got it made. Coming home to a empty house everyday, yeah that's the life huh?
When everything seems to go wrong, break, fall apart, and tare up.. guess what... yep, its always when they're gone and once again....you're by yourself and have to find a way to pick up the broken pieces..
To the "oh he makes that good money" people...
Yes he does. Matter of fact, he makes good money at the expense of his health. He comes home everyday with new burns on his body. Some mornings he can barley get out of the bed because he's worked 7/12s the last 2 months and he sounds like a tater chip crunching because his joints are worn out. He makes good money at the expense of his life. It's dangerous. It's hard. It's stressful. They bring "worn out" to a whole new meaning while you complain about having a (rough day) in the office.
What about plans? Vacations? Holidays? He never knows when he will be working so he can't plan for anything. Family get-togethers are missed half the time because he's working. Holidays are the same.
You also forget that you have a steady paycheck. Sometimes we don't know when another paycheck will come. You try going 3-4 months without a paycheck. Come talk to me then about how stressed out you are.
And to the people who say "you can't hide money".... what money exactly? We have bills just like everyone else and some times jobs are few and far between.
These people sacrifice a lot to work on the road and so do their families. So the next time you want to say these things to somebody, just remember they give up a whole lot to make ends meet cause we all know you can't make enough back home to do so.
