We recently stayed and can’t wait to be back! The unit was spacious, clean and conveniently located to lots of activities.
The unit can comfortably accommodate 8 people. We had 4 adults and 4 children and stayed for 3 nights. It is fully equipped and clean. Kitchen is modern and all appliances felt like brand new. Having a washer and dryer inside the unit was also a big plus.
On-site activities include golf, tennis, basketball, gym and several smaller pools. Basketball and pools are free, however, there is a cost for golf and tennis. We rented a tennis court for 4 hours at night for $40 and enjoyed ourselves. Note, go at night and you can use 2 courts even though you only paid for 1 court since many of the courts are not used. We had 8 players on 2 courts and played the entire 4 hours into the night.
The unit is not beachfront; however, it is less than a one minute drive over to the sister beachfront resort. You can also walk to the beach using an overpass or take trams that are provided on-site. Walking/tram option takes less than 5 minutes. The first day we used the on-site tram service and walked to the beach. After the first day, we found it more convenient to drive our vehicles and park at the beachfront sister resort which took literally 1 minute.
The unit is conveniently located to lots of activities, food and shopping. The unit is in the first building at the front of the resort which makes it quicker to enter and exit the resort. Mr. Maines Pizza at the front outside the resort was convenient and excellent. There are also lots of other food, shopping and kids’ activities directly across from the resort.
For tourist activities, we visited Pier Park. Walking the pier is a must. Cost was $4/person. We saw wild life including dolphins, turtle, pelicans, and of course fishermen catching fish. However, skip eating and shopping at Pier Park. Overpriced and not good. Rather, go to Rosemary Beach where you can enjoy fine dining and shopping for the same prices.
The unit was awesome for our group of 8. It’s definitely much better than having to rent 2 hotel rooms which would been more expensive, much less spacious, and does not have the convenience of a full kitchen and washer and dryer. Our leasing manager, Holly, was also great. Very responsive and helpful. We were able to get early checkin and late checkout. We look forward to being back in the future.
