In the coming weeks, Disneyland Resort + Walt Disney World Resort will begin piloting a new service providing expedited entry to theme park attractions: Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be offered in very limited quantities and will give guests one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane entrance in the theme park they are visiting that day. This includes attractions included in both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, but with Lightning Lane Premier Pass, guests do not need to select an experience time. Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be a premium offering, and prices will vary based on the date and theme park guests are visiting.

At Walt Disney World, when Lightning Lane Premier Pass launches, it will be available to guests staying at Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts and may be purchased up to seven days in advance of their stay. It will only be valid for use in one park of the guest’s choice per day. The first date it will be available is October 30, 2024. Prices range from $129-$449 +tax per guest per day.

At Disneyland Resort, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available first come, first served beginning two days in advance of a theme park reservation and will be valid for use in both theme parks. The first date it will be available is October 23, 2024. Price for the remainder of 2024 is $400 +tax per guest per day. ✨

Walt Disney World resort plans to reopen its theme parks on Friday, October 11

• Guests with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party tickets for Thursday, October 10 will be refunded

• Partially used multi-day theme park tickets that were impacted by the closure for Hurricane Milton on October 10, 2024, will be automatically extended to allow use of the remaining unused ticket days through October 11, 2025.

• Wholly unused tickets that were impacted by Hurricane Milton may be adjusted to a new start date.✨

Orlando International Airport (MCO) will resume departures on Friday, October 11.

“Although we’ll receive a few domestic arrivals this evening, no departures or international flights will occur. Please don’t come to the airport for a departing flight tonight. (Oct 10)”

We are closely monitoring the path of the projected storm, and the safety of our Guests and Cast Members remains our top priority. Walt Disney World Resort is currently operating under normal conditions and will continue to be on Tuesday, Oct. 8. Looking ahead, we are making adjustments based on the latest weather forecast and some areas with unique environments.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, the Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The reopening timeline for the resort remains tentative, and subject to safety conditions. We encourage Guests to check DisneyWorld.com/Weather for the most up-to-date information.

BIG changes coming to Genie+!

Have Genie+ figured out, finally?

Well, here comes Disney adding a new twist:

Beginning July 24, guests will be able to purchase Genie+ AND make up to 3 selections 3 (Disney Resort guests) to 7 days (all other guests) prior to their first park day!

Terminology:
• “Multi Pass” aka Genie+, where guests can make multiple selections all day

• “Single Pass” aka Individual Lightning Lane, functions the same as the current Individual Lightning Lane, and will continue to cover the same attractions.

Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot will have tiered selections. Guests may choose one attraction from Tier 1, and 2 selections from Tier 2. (Animal Kingdom will not offer tiers.)

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is returning select nights November 8 through December 20 at Disney's Magic Kingdom!

• November: 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29

• December: 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20

Guests of select Disney resorts, Swan + Dolphin hotels, and Shades of Green will be able to purchase tickets starting July 2! For all other guests, tickets go on sale July 10!

🎆 4th of July at Walt Disney World 🎆

Just announced:

Disney’s “Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” fireworks over Magic Kingdom with a simultaneous show over Seven Seas Lagoon (making the show 360 degrees of fireworks!) will appear:

• July 3: 9:20pm
• July 4: 9:20pm

Extended Magic Kingdom park hours:

• July 3: 8am - 12am
• July 4: 8am - 1am

Keep in mind on July 4th Magic Kingdom often reaches capacity, so do not plan to enter, re-enter or park hop in the afternoon in hopes of catching the evening fireworks show in the park. 🙃

It's Memorial Day weekend, and we are all gearing up to kick off summer!

Here in Florida, the hot HOT summer weather has rolled in. ☀️

Here are a few packing tips to help beat the Florida heat:

• Cooling Towels + Fans - especially nice to have on hot days! Fans that spray a mist of water are nice to have too!

• Sunscreen - and hats to protect your face! Umbrellas also make for nice, easy shade when you find yourself in an area that doesn't provide much shade!

• Refillable drink containers - it's important to stay hydrated, and $4 bottled waters can add up! The Florida heat can pack on exhaustion. We refill at water fountains or cups of ice water at Quick Service restaurants (they're free, you just have to ask for "cups of water" or "cups of ice.")

These last few are not to beat the summer heat, but I will never leave them off a packing list:

• Reusable or Plastic Straws - Walt Disney World has converted to paper straws. While I support the idea, paper straws are less than desirable to drink out of. This is especially true with frozen drinks and adult beverages.

• Ziploc bags - if any snack/meal produces leftovers you may want later! (It never fails, someone will...)

REMEMBER...

• If you have any discomfort or concerns, PLEASE do not hesitate to visit the First Aid Centers! The Cast Members are wonderful and there to help!

• Consider moving at a slower pace, and taking a mid-day break to avoid the hottest part of the day. Or, get a later start and stay through park closing! (I recommend Genie+ if you take the latter option!)

As with all newly opened rides at Walt Disney World, there will be 2 ways to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
(There will be no Stand-By queue option during the attraction’s initial opening days, but is expected to open soon after.)

• Virtual Queue
• Guests will have two opportunities to join the Virtual Queue: 7am as well as 1pm (1pm opening is only available for guests who have entered Magic Kingdom at some point earlier in the day)

• Genie+ Lightning Lane
• Purchase of Genie+ is required - your ride photo is included with this purchase.

New entertainment is debuting at this year’s Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party! ⚡️ Stop in to Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe to grab a bite and catch a pop-up dance performance by Max Goof and his Powerline party pack! 🏴‍☠️ Also be sure to make your way through Adventureland to enjoy the Pirate Band! ✨

👻 The first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has officially started! For the first time, the special Halloween character meet + greets can be accessed on the My Disney Experience app! At 7:00pm the map changes from daytime settings to Halloween Party offerings. • You’ll notice it defaults to attraction wait times. Go to the top of the map screen and tap on the blue down arrow next to “Wait Times” • Select “Characters” • Mickey heads will appear all over the map to show where the meet + greets are located. Tap on the Mickey head to see who is meeting at that location. • For a list, after switching to Characters, in the top right select “Show List” and it will list characters and their meet location!! 💎 ALERT 💎 The Seven Dwarfs ARE meeting at the party, but are not listed in the character menu! You will find the Seven Dwarfs meeting inside Pete’s Silly Sideshow! ✨

🚨 According to the Disney World website, the Monorail will have a delayed opening Friday morning! (July 14th) Disney expects that all Monorail transportation will be available by 10AM. • Bus transportation will be available while the Monorail is not operating, which will be helpful for those traveling from Magic Kingdom area resorts to EPCOT. • If you’re driving to Magic Kingdom and trying to get from the Transportation & Ticket Center (the parking lot) to the park, you can take the ferryboat.

TRON Lightcycle / Run

Surprise! Soft opening starts TODAY for TRON Lightcycle / Run! What does this mean? March 20 - April 2, guests will have the opportunity to enter the Grid before TRON's official opening on April 4! How? Guests have 2 ways to enter the Grid: • Individual Lightning Lane • Guests may purchase an Individual Lightning Lane via My Disney Experience. •The price per guest today is $20, and it's a safe bet it will remain that price (or close to it) for the duration of the soft opening. • The Individual Lightning Lanes sold out within minutes today. 👆🏼OR👇🏼 • Virtual Queue • Similar to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, guests will have 2 opportunities to join a Boarding Group for TRON at no cost. • 7:00am: Guests with both valid park admission + Park Reservation for Magic Kingdom will have access to "Join Boarding Group" via the My Disney Experience App. ** Guests are NOT required to have entered Magic Kingdom for the 7:00am Virtual Queue opening. • 1:00pm: Guests with both valid park admission + Park Reservation for Magic Kingdom will have access to "Join Boarding Group" via the My Disney Experience App. ** To be eligible for the afternoon opening, guests ARE required to have entered Magic Kingdom. • The 7:00am Virtual Queue was full after 1 second this morning. In celebration of the Season 3 launch of “The Mandalorian” on Disney+, a popular bounty hunter and his sidekick surprised Walt Disney World guests visiting Batuu yesterday! No fear if you missed it! The Mandalorian + Grogu pair will continue to make 15 minute(ish) appearances throughout the days to come. This special interaction is expected to last “for a while.” While autographs are not an option, photos are possible if you have your cameras out! The popular pair will continually move throughout Batuu, so be ready! ✨ 🎥 Brooke McDonald

Tron Protocol • Upon the ride’s grand opening, guests will have the opportunity to enter the grid via Virtual Queue. (Similar to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.) • Individual Lightning Lane access (a la carte) will also be available for purchase via the My Disney Experience app. For guests staying on property, the purchase window opens at 7am. For all other guests, the purchase window opens at official park opening. • A new double-sided digitized locker system will be used to store bags and loose items during the ride. Guests will lock + retrieve their belongings using their Magic Band or Guest Ticket Card. • Disney PhotoPass photo + video offerings will be available on Tron! To ensure you receive your photo + video, there are 2 methods you can use: • Use your eligible mobile device, enable Bluetooth® for the My Disney Experience app* before riding, ensure you’ve logged into the My Disney Experience app* sometime earlier that day, and keep your device out of low power mode. A very warm “Welcome back!” to the Walt Disney World Railroad! 🚂 After a 4 year refurbishment, the Walt Disney World Railroad train stations around Magic Kingdom are moving guests once again! The train dons a new look, with familiar (and new) views as you travel the perimeter of the park. Keep an eye out, you may spot special friends! Guests may board at: • Main Street USA • Frontierland • Splash Mountain • Fantasyland • Storybook Circus This is a •great• way to save steps around Magic Kingdom, or to relax and take in the views.
