Music in the Park Concert Series - Parsons, Kansas

Just because the stage is empty and the seats are unoccupied, it doesn't mean we aren't already thinking about the Music in the Parsons Concert Series 2025.

Let's hear your musical preferences (remember we try not to duplicate the previous year's entertainment.)

We plan to offer the first show on Thurs., May 22 to kick off the Katy Days Festival and run through Thurs., July 31 for a total of 11 shows. (Fri., July 4 instead of Thurs., July 3.)

Alright AC/DC fans, what did you think of last nights KC/DC show? We hope you got your fill of music this year, because now you have to wait until May 22, 2025 for the next Music in the Park concert.

the members of KC/DC wanted us to mention that they would like to thank each and everyone who showed up, and they were amazed by the number of people in attendance. We think they did a fantastic job, an in addition to two talented singers, they even brought along a bagpiper.

Less than one hour away from the big KC/DC finale concert for this year’s series. The park is starting to fill up, but plenty of good seating available. Outsider’s Tacos & More are set up and serving some very fine food items. There’s a nice breeze blowing through Forest Park. Show time is 8:00 p.m.

Our Grand Finale for the 2024 Music in the Park Free Concert Series on Thursday, July 25, will be KC/DC, the Ultimate AC/DC Tribute. SPECIAL NOTE: This week, due to the extra technical set up required for this show, it will begin at 8:00 p.m.

The Flagship Romance Concert on Fri., July 19 at 7:00 pm, has moved to the Parsons Municipal Auditorium due to AC problems at the Carnegie.

Replacing Platinum Express, fan and crowd favorite, Encore has graciously agreed to fill in last minute for our 2024 Music in the Park Free Concert Series, Thursday, July 11. Show starts at 7:30 pm and Outsiders Tacos will be our concessionaire beginning around 6:30 pm. Labette County Convention and Visitor Bureau is our show sponsor this week.

Encore plays classic and contemporary rock hits and are always on the list Music in the Park attendees want to see again and again.

Bring your chairs and expect a great evening of music!

Due to illness of several members of the ensemble Platinum Express, they will be unable to perform as scheduled on Thursday, July 11. Encore, playing contemporary and classic rock have agreed to fill in.
