Many know I live here and when the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse happened, which I live a hop skip and a jump from...the spot light was on safety and the aftermath of uncertainty for months....

For the last 50yrs Baltimore has only be able to hold the smallest of ships because the FSK and Bay bridges clearance height has prevented larger ships from docking here.
I have to ask myself could it really be possible that Baltimore could eventually get bigger ships in her port if the Bay Bridge is also rebuilt?

Oh how awesome it would be to go out of my home port on bigger, later built ships!

As you all know I have been on the Breakaway all week.

Earlier this afternoon they called for a Med Emer on deck 13. We port in the morning, but whatever is going on is serious enough it could not wait.

I can't stress the importance of Insurance enough! A slip/trip and fall, a ruptured apendix, stroke, heartattack, diabetic coma, a drunk sailor and a mishap....
There is so many reasons!

This week alone...Carnival Magic diverted to Grand Turk for a med emer.....
Explorer of the Seas had to turn back to Spain for Multi Med Emergencies due to a rouge wave hitting the ship causing it to list and people got hurt!
BE SMART!

Most helicopter rides are $25,000-$50,000+
If you dont have adaquate (enough) travel insurance, your gonna be paying that bill for the rest of your life....and you cant cruise again till it's paid in full!!

This little gem is located right next to the Bermuda cruise port in a 5 min walk. Go to the end of the port, make a right and walk straight till you go through the big metal gates. Make a right at the gates and the guard station...Walk straight down and you run right into it.

So many people have no idea this place even exists. This is a great little beach getaway for a family who doesnt want to go far. $15 for adults and $5 for kids to spend all day there.

They have 2 packages and several individual prices for you to choose from.

They have so much stuff included. There's a slide that isn't in the pics that goes into the water. There's sand buckets and shovels to build sand castles, pool noodles, bounce house, music, volleyball and so much more!

During the season (May - Oct) they have a bonfire on Mon and Thur night at which time they close at 2am. Live Music as well.

It is Ada accessible with pathways for wheelchairs/scooters/walker's are there to service everyone.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to help you with anything you need. They have a $100 bottle of rum behind the counter you can purchase that is made locally right on the island.

Located in St George, Bermuda is To***co Bay. It's a $3 per person Taxi ride from the dock where the ferry drops you off.

Just like anything else in Bermuda food and drink aren't cheap and neither is the renting of any of the equipment they offer.
Come with cash and card to cover the amount needed so you dont get stuck if your card is declined for whatever reason.

It's a small beach with a nice set up. Lawnchairs, umbrellas, sand and clear water. There is a bar where you can get food and drink or rent equipment. Their patio is really nice to sit and just relax on.

The patio is ADA equipped and plenty large for a wheelchair or walker. The cab ride over?.. not scooter equipped.

Hamilton is just a Ferry ride away. The ferry costs $4.50 per person each way....A taxi is $90...Take the Ferry! ❤️

Hamilton's main street is called Front Street and it's very safe to walk and explore.

Bermuda's prices are high since everything is imported, and gas is no different. It's about $10 a gallon currently so many people use scooters to get around, unless they use their car for work.

Hamilton is great for shopping and eatting right along the waters edge! You can walk back 4 streets from the port as the streets are gridded.

Make sure you are aware of the ferry schedule and always arrive 15 min early for the ferry. The building to by ferry tokens is labeled in the pics attached and is right across from the ferry dock in the Royal Naval yard.
