Paros island was spectacular. A lot of the landscape is stark, but there's something magical about it. The villages we quaint with cobbled streets I could have spent days exploring.

Almost 4 months have gone by since our Greece trip! It was incredible. The weather was gorgeous, the food was amazing, and all of the travelers were so fun.

With this midwest weather, I'm looking forward to another adventure soon. This is our first couple of days in Athens.

Come along on our GREEK ISLANDS ADVENTURE in 2023! - Today’s focus is on Paros. It's one of the quieter, not so touristy islands of the Cyclades chain and has a more authentic feel than some of her sister islands. There are stunning beaches, traditional villages, fishing ports and of course the classic white buildings and narrow, quaint alleyways to meander through.

There will be some free time upon arrival to settle in and explore. In the afternoon, we head to the charming seaside village of Naoussa to visit a local, family-owned winery and learn about their vineyard’s unique type of grape vines, which are trained to grow close to the ground to protect them from the strong ocean winds. Of course, there will be wine tasting and a dinner of Greek specialties.

The next day there will be free time to browse around town, hike, lay on the beach, or just relax and absorb the sites and sounds of this beautiful island. There is an option to add on a boat cruise with snorkeling so you can enjoy some time on the water. Dates are Sept 16 – 24, 2023. Max 22 people. 16 spots left! Covid changed the way I view the world. Life is short & there are no guarantees. My passion is travel, exploring new places & creating unique experiences to break out of my comfort zone. At the moment, I can't travel as much as I'd like but I'm always planning our next adventure, either at home or abroad.

I LOVE FOOD & my wherever I travel I look into the what the local specialties are. In Greece, the fresh feta is sooo good! Here is a variation I haven't tried! For those of you coming with me to Greece, I will definitly be making this for one of our Get-To-Know Your Fellow Travelers Get-Togethers!

The Venetian architecture and the views are supposed to be amazing. I'm looking forward to experiencing it first-hand!

This is Paros, Greece and it's the first island stop on our Greek Islands Adventure tour in 2023! It is less touristy than the islands of Santorini & Mykonos & feels much more like an auhentic Greek island. It has some of the best beaches in Greece, incredible food & beautiful, quaint villages. The Parthenon in Athens can be seen rising above the modern streets of this bustling city. It is an awe-inspiring temple built between 432-447 BC! It is supported by 46 Doric columns and considered classical architecture's most influential building.
Can you even imagine how they accomplished erecting this marvel 432 years BC? Have you ever experienced something this old first hand? It is absolutely magical.

Day 2 started with an amazing breakfast. 🍌🥭🍍Then we walked to Punta Mosquito, which is part of the Yum Balam Nature Reserve. At low tide you can walk on the sand bar for MILES in ankle deep. It was mesmerizing.

We returned from Isla Holbox, Mexico last week. Looking back at my thousands of pictures, it's hard to choose ones that represent this little piece of paradise.

It was an immersive experience, relaxing, beautiful, magical & very much needed. Robert and I haven't taken an international trip with just the two of us in a REALLY long time. I'm so happy we were able to make it happen.
