Resting Benches
Artists’ Statement
The bed is the place of conception, sleep, sickness, healing, and eventually death. A bed, a place to rest on a daily basis, is a need common to everyone. In response to the environment of Forest Hills, we chose to make benches shaped like Victorian beds to play on various interpretations of the notion of a resting place. The concrete suggests an eternal nature, the bed a place to sit, to rest.

Forest Hill Cemetery was founded in 1848 and is more than 275 acres! The monuments are breathtaking and the landscaping just as breathtaking! We spent about 3 hours inside the cemetery and didn’t even go through the whole thing! We will make a few different post of some of our favorites!
This beautiful little girl is Grace. The details in her are absolutely amazing! The eyes really got us, it truly seems as she’s looking back at you! Maybe she is!

The Amos J. Blake house, built in 1837, was designed to be a store with living quarters attached. The Blake family purchased the house in 1865. Amos J. Blake, was a lawyer and town official who lived in Fitzwilliam NH from 1836 to 1925. After the home/store was handed down and then given to the town, the town turned it into a museum with 12 themed rooms, including Blake’s office, a parlor, a shop and tool room, two kitchens, a woman’s bedroom, a child’s room, a doctor’s room, a school room and a military room. Each room offers a unique insight into what life was like for residents of New Hampshire during the 19th century. There are claims that the building is the home to 11 ghost and lets not forget the ghost cat! People have claimed to have felt sick once in the building. Some have seen the apparition of a young boy with the cat. Plenty of people hearing sounds and voices that are unexplained. Objects get moved around the museum. If you are in the area or looking for a road trip head to the motor a tour and maybe just maybe you will get to see one of the resident ghost or even hear them!! Fitzwilliam is such a cute town to explore! Don’t forget to check out the antique shops as well!🍁🕯👻⚰️🎃🍂🦉Don’t forget to check out the antique shops while you are in town!

Rolling Hill Asylum
East Bethany New York
I know that this is a New England haunting but it’s a must share. This is the perfect place to be for Halloween!!
Rolling Hills Asylum was established in the winter of 1826. maintain orphans, widowed women and their children, the disabled, the mentally ill, and minor criminals and nursing home. The residents were called inmates. Inmates were buried on the property in potter's field. Many of the graves are unmarked. Being a poor house, when the inmates died, there was little or no money for a proper burial. While we were investigating the asylum, we got to meet one of the resident ghosts there named Roy. Roy was put into the asylum by his parents because of his odd growing (gigantism) When Roy was 12 he was about 6 feet tall. Roy was over 7 feet tall. He lived to the age of 62. We also got to meet a nurse that worked at the asylum. This nurses name is Emmie and it said that she was very mean to patients. She was hated and feared by not only the patients but by the staff as well. 👻🎃⚰️(their is a ghost cat on the staircase!)
