Meet The Crew Monday: Mason

This week, we’re introducing Mason, a skilled pilot who’s been flying for nearly a decade. From airplanes to helicopters, Mason’s passion for aviation led him straight to Austin Heli Tours. Let’s get to know him!

How’d you come to discover Austin Heli Tours?

“I reached out to Luke, the owner and operator, for flight training years ago. After completing my commercial helicopter license, I worked alongside Luke on various helicopter jobs: both flying and assisting on the ground. When Austin Heli Tours launched, I was offered a position and have been flying here ever since.”

What’s your favorite part about working at Austin Heli Tours?

“Sharing the experience of flying with no doors. There’s nothing like it, this absolutely gives you the best visibility and true feeling of being up in the air that no other flying machine could accomplish.”

What’s your favorite helicopter tour?

“The Night Over Austin Skyline Helicopter Tour! Daytime flying is fun, but nothing beats soaring over downtown Austin at night. Seeing the city lights up close, right beside you, is something few people ever get to experience.”
