Empty iPhone Box delivery update -
UPS wouldn't do anything about it because I wasn't the sender.
I chatted then called AT&T and spent about 4 hours trying to get this resolved with them. I have NO idea if they're going to put in a claim with UPS because they're making me re-pay fees for a new iPhone, which won't be shipped to me until sometime early November.
AT&T is going to refund me the fees I paid for the first phone in 3-5 business days. They REFUSED to just transfer those fees to the new phone instead. They're unable to process the new phone transaction without payment, but when I told them I'm unable to process new phone payment without the refund, they didn't seem to care. They did expedite shipping without an extra fee but if the phone won't ship for 3-4 weeks and I was supposed to have it already, what good is that? *sigh*
My net worth as a public school educator is nowhere near the $152.6 BILLION that is AT&T's net worth, yet I have to pay them for someone else's mistake before they have to pay me.
Let's not even talk about how this is really UPS's fault because I'm 99% sure that the box was delivered empty, which means that at some point after UPS took possession of the package, someone busted into it and stole the phone.
It's resolved and I have a phone plan from early in the iPhone days that every AT&T rep has told me they can't beat so I'm kinda stuck with them.
Corporations just need to do better.
