Beautiful Views around Amsterdam! What a unique and special place.

This was our first trip to Amsterdam and I truly feel it was a hard city to describe until we went. It’s funky and fun, historical and new. There is a lot to do, yet you can be relaxed and do nothing if you’re not up to do much! We did a Canal Cruise our first day. It was 90 minutes - there is that many canals. It’s the perfect introduction to the city and a great activity for your first day!

The Museums of The Hague! If you’re an art lover, this should be a place you consider. Vermeer, Rembrandt, Escher… they are here! And what I loved is that the buildings they are in are as beautiful as the works of art themselves and have historical significance, too!

Den Haag, Netherlands 🇳🇱 (The Hague) - the next stop on our adventure! A beautiful stop and one of many surprises! We loved the people, the beauty, the art, huge bike culture, and the ample food choices around every corner. It’s also the seat of the Dutch Government even though Amsterdam is the capital.

More to come on the art scene!

Brugge is Beautiful! The medieval city is sometimes called the Venice of the North. With its picturesque architecture and its winding canals, this city in its entirety is a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

It also makes a perfect spot for a tasting tour! We had many different beers, we had waffles, fries, mussels, herring, chocolate and cheese (did I forget anything?)

We’ve made it Belgium 🇧🇪 Brussels to be specific! Check out the gorgeous Grand Plac! It’s a central square full of history, gorgeous architecture and no doubt where every trip to Brussels will likely begin.

Like Disney World in Orlando, Paris also has their own handful of Disney Resorts right on resort grounds complete with transportation to/from the park (or you could even walk - that’s what we did). We stayed at the Newport Bay Hotel. It was their mid-range hotel. It was perfect for us and it was less than 10 min walk to the parks.

Disneyland Paris!!! As many of you know, I’m a HUGE Disney fan. This is my first Disney Park outside of Florida. It was truly magical and a dream come true and really a wonderful way to incorporate more fun, kid friendly activities into a very busy European itinerary.

Much smaller parks, shorter lines, and a lot of fun quirky differences. Some new rides we don’t have and some pretty neat changes to rides we have. They even have the dining plan, we tried out for the two days we were there.

It was a cold and rainy day at the Palce of Versailles but even that couldn’t stop its beauty from shining through!

We spent hours exploring the rooms of the palace, the gardens, the fountains and the Queens’s Hamlet (I’m a sucker for Marie Antoinette). There’s so much we didn’t see and could have spent even more time there! I can’t even imagine how much more beautiful it would have been on a sunny day!

After two previous stays in Paris, we decided to try staying in a different neighborhood this time! We didn’t need to be in the heart of everything, so time to explore a new hotel! We very much enjoyed the Hotel Ampère, which is situated in the 17th Arrondissement.

You may not be walking everywhere, but the hotel is almost 15-20 minutes from anywhere via public transportation and the metro station is 2 minutes away by foot. And let’s be real, in Paris, you’re not walking everywhere anyway - it’s a big city!

We booked a triple executive room and I was blown away. There was plenty of space for the 3 of us, the bed was amazingly comfortable, and the bathroom was unreal. I was very impressed with our stay, the breakfast daily, the staff and the complimentary chocolates for Gabe’s birthday (nice touch)!

Our adventure begins in the City of Lights and Love. While this wasn’t our first time, we had some firsts. We did a pretty inclusive art walking tour of the Montmartre area and saw the Moulin Rouge, where both Picasso and Van Gogh used to live, and the last remaining windmill (yes the windmill has fallen from the Moulin Rouge 😢). We saw the oldest sweet shop 🤤 and heard many interesting stories about so many different Parisian aspects of life, art and culture.

We also finally made it to the Summit of the Eiffel Tower. YES IT’S HIGH! It was also fun being able to have a Bird’s Eye view on all the Summer Olympics setup (like those Olympic Rings they are installing 👀)

It was cold and rainy, but Paris is still always a good idea!

We would like to THANK EVERYONE from the bottom of our hearts for all your understanding, the outpouring of love and support and your condolences and prayers. So many of you have had your trip planning put on hold while we took this time to be with our family in this time of mourning.

No one ever expects to lose a loved one, but when you do, it really makes you reflect on what is truly important in life. We are grateful for the people we have in our lives, including our customers who have been so understanding, loving and supportive. Thank you!

We are getting back to work and we see your emails. We will be back to planning your amazing adventures this week. Bear with us as we get through some of the back log.

#31 Capetown, South Africa

If you’re looking for a little adrenaline to get your vacation kick started, how about a trip to Cage Dive with Great White Sharks? While it’s night right in Capetown, it’s a quick day trip you can take.

Capetown is such a versatile city and is worthy of our last spot. There is so much to see and do in the city itself and then so many side trips out of the city.

We spent 5 days in Capetown and we could have stayed longer. We wine tasted, cage dived with sharks, went to Boulder Beach, explored Robben Island, watch the sunset from Table Mountain, and that just scratches the surface. There is truly something for everyone!

#30 Kyoto, Japan

Most people don’t think about nature when they think about Kyoto, but Kyoto has it all! This is the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest which is a very special place. It’s usually very busy, but we have the tips on how to visit when it’s not.

Kyoto is also home to the Fushimi Inari Shrine, Nijo Castle, the Golden Pavilion and it’s a hub for many day trips, like Nara or even Osaka.

Kyoto was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan and definitely a must visit!

#29 Venice, Italy

No bucket list can be complete without a nod to Venice island! The iconic canals, gondola rides, delicious food, wine and famous St Mark’s Square all make Venice, well…VENICE! There is no place quite like it. You won’t have to spend much time here to be captivated by it’s charm. You can spend an entire day getting lost in the winding streets and crossing bridge after bridge taking in the sights and the people or making take a day trip to learn about Murano Glass.

No matter how you choose to spend your time in Venice, it’s never a bad decision!

𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥-𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝!

#28 Nice, France

I love the South of France and I can’t say enough about Nice. It’s a total 180 from Paris - much slower pace, right on the water (looking to add a little beach to your European adventure?), great food (with Italian influence believe it or not) and chocolate and beautiful architecture.

One of the best day trips you can take from Nice is to one of the smallest countries in the world - Monaco! See where they race the Grand Prix, the Royal Residence of Philly’s own Grace Kelly and the famous Casino Royale! I’ve never seen so many incredible cars in my life (not in a show room or car show)!

𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥-𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝!

#27 Tulum, Mexico

Whether you make Tulum your actual destination or go for a day trip, it’s a really beautiful and interesting place to visit, especially if you’re into ancient civilizations like the Mayans. There are many all inclusive resorts in the nearby vicinity or just a short drive away in the Riviera Maya area.

If you make Tulum a day trip, you can pair it with some adrenaline packed activities like zip lining and rappelling or even some snorkeling or 4-wheeling prior to heading to learn about the Mayans. No matter what you choose, a day in Tulum is a great compliment to your beautiful Mexican Beach vacation and you still get stunning turquoise blue ocean views.

Fun Fact, they just opened an airport in Tulum! While it’s not a great option for many people, it’s nice for those that may actually stay in Tulum to cut down on drive time (but this does likely mean connecting flights).

𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥-𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝!

#26 Lisbon, Portugal

Our most recent trip to Europe brought us to the incredible (and very hilly) Lisbon! I feel this city is quite underrated and I don’t know why. We loved it. It has just this amazing vibe. The people are so welcoming, the city is vibrant, colorful and full of beautiful architecture and delicious food. Lisbon is also coastal and very warm in the spring/summer so there is a built in excuse to have a beach day while in Europe! Let those achy feet take a break.

The sightseeing is endless in Lisbon. Some popular sights are the Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, Castelo S. Jorge, and one of my favorites, the Carmo Convent. On the other side of the Tagus River you’ll find beaches and the Sanctuary of Christ the King (and STELLAR views over Lisbon). Didn’t I say there was tons to do?
