It is with a heavy heart that we need to say our beloved Rita has peacefully passed away just after midnight on June 22nd. We want to thank all of our family and friends for their prayers and support. Anyone who knew her loved her. All information concerning final arrangements will be posted soon. We are currently closed and we are planning to reopen Monday, July 1st.

Friends,

Many of you have noticed Rita's absence the past several months. Sadly, in February she was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. Unfortunately, the treatments she received were not successful. She is home now with her family and we are keeping her as comfortable as possible. We sincerely appreciate you all thinking of her, and we welcome your prayers during this difficult time.

Reminder: Good news for Dads: We're expecting a nice-sized delivery of Outer Banks Males for Sunday Morning (6/16). Although we can no longer take pre-orders, we believe we'll have enough inventory to last at least until noon. We open at 9AM but, please, come as early as possible. Our prices are:

Minor Update: Our local crabbers had a really good catch for the Medium Males. We were able to negotiate with them and as such, there will be no price increase on them for this Father's Day weekend. The prices for the Medium Males are as follows:

Another nice weekend on tap. The water's warming up and the crabs are becoming more active. Production is up and prices are starting to come down, not to mention quality is consistently good. Let's not forget Father's Day is next week.

Perfect for outdoor cookouts, graduation parties, and a good old fashioned crab boil. Production is on the rise and prices took a drop this week. Memorial Day weekend is here! We have an update:

North Carolina will be the main supplier this weekend. Now, all along the Northeastern Atlantic Coast from Virginia north, the blue crabs are in what is called a "shed". During this time, blue crabs stop eating in order to shed out of their old shell and form a new one, which helps them grow. Also during this time, the crabs focus on reproduction. Eating is not a priority for them. This cycle should end in a week to ten days. Unfortunately, this shed fell right onto this holiday, which depleted supply by over 50%. Fortunately, we have a few good friends in North Carolina and the Outer Banks who are blue crab shippers, and we should be getting a pretty steady supply for the weekend.

Please call us at 215-389-9693, and listen to the voicemail for daily updates. We will be very busy and it is unlikely we will be able to answer the phone. If we do not answer, please leave your name, number and a short message in the voicemail and we will get back to you. We will be open Friday and Saturday from 9 AM - 4:30 PM, Sunday 9 AM to 3 PM, and Monday 9 AM to 1PM.

We are currently receiving shipments of #1 Males from Outer Banks North Carolina. Depending how the day goes, we may have Delaware Bay and New Jersey males available tomorrow (5/18). If you would like to leave an order, please leave your name, number, and a short message on the voicemail. Feel free to bring a cooler and a small bag of ice and we will gladly pack them for you.

Hey everyone, we have an update for this weekend. We will be open Saturday (5/11) and Sunday (5/12) at 9:30. Due to gale force winds along the coast, most boats could not leave the dock today. Unfortunately, we do not know exactly what will be coming in tomorrow. That being said, we cannot take any preorders. We will have a limited amount of product coming in Tomorrow and Sunday. Product will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We will once again be posting weekly with updates and availability. So far, spring production has been sporadic. With the onset of higher temperatures and warmer nights, production is slowly increasing. We are currently sourcing product from Delaware Bay, Leed's Point, and Brigantine, New Jersey. These local crabbers are producing some nice heavy males. Size is par for course for May. Soft Shells should be hitting the market any time now and we will post when they're available.
