A Powerful Impact On My Life
Jenna Greenberg, Conductor of Dayton Jewish Chorale, shares her wonderful experience working with Andrea Green.
"Andrea (through her musicals) brought to life what it means to be compassionate, sympathetic, and respectful to others regardless of our differences" Thank you so much Jenna for truly sharing what Andrea Green Music is all about.🥰
We are so thrilled to hear that working with Andrea as a young child has continued to shape Jenna's life and who she is today. When youths are taught in a fun and purposeful way how to love and accept others, those lessons last a lifetime. It makes us infinitely happy to know that Jenna became a strong advocate for her mother and her disabilities, and grew up to be a musical professional to educate her community!
The powerful impact of music is undeniable. Music is an amazing vehicle to inspire creativity, self expression, and joy- and a tool to heal, to build, and to grow ourselves, our community, and children into strong people who do not judge others, but instead help and uplift them.❤️❤️
Again, thank you to Jenna Greenburg for sharing these kind and inspiring words.🤗

Amy Bennett, Singer in "Don't Forget" PSA, Shares Her Thoughts And Feelings
Amy Bennett, performing artist, dancer and singer of Andrea Green's "Don't Forget" PSA Project, shares her thoughts and feelings...
Watch this short clip and truly LISTEN to what Amy has to say. This brilliant young lady has much to share about her experience during the covid-19 pandemic, as a young performing artist who is juggling her education, home and social life, and passions. We were so blessed to have Amy participate in our "Don't Forget' project virtually all the way from England!
Staying in tune with what our youth are feeling and thinking right now is so important. Really listening to them and finding out what they need most rght now, helps us serve them in the best way possible. Due to Covid-19, children and teens of all ages right now are going through such a crazy time just like us! They are experiencing a lot of loss. They have been unable to partake in their regular activities like seeing friends, playing sports, dancing, performing in community theater, and going to school. They have also had to miss important events like birthday get-togethers, family outings and graduations. It is so hard to be seperated from family and friends, doing school online from home, and having to wear a mask and take many precautions while outside.
For children, the loss of normal activities and routines can lead to feelings of anxiety, fear and worry. Children thrive on routines because they are predictable and help them feel safe. For teens, social connections are a crucial part of development. The loss of regular socialization with peers due to physical distancing can be significant.
Right now, our youth NEED our support. Let's take the time to listen and support our youth during these crazy times. Let's also put in the effort and care to provide them with outlets to express themselves, have fun, continue to do what they love!

Worried or Scared, You're Not Alone. Don't Forget.
John Sayles, youth singer on Andrea Green's music project "DON'T FORGET", shares what he does when he is worried or scared.
John explains how when he’s worried or scared, the first thing he does is confide in his family and friends, who he knows care about him.🥰 It is so important to have a good support system in life. Sometimes it may not be possible at the moment to talk to a loved one, so it is extremely helpful to have a healthy outlet! For John and MANY other people- children and adults alike- music is one of those things.🎵 To be able to sing or dance or perform no matter where you are, and have fun and relax while doing it, is such a gift. Thank you John for beautifully illustrating the importance of human connection, sense of security, and self expression.😊

Research shows the benefits of music therapy for various mental health conditions, including depression, trauma, and schizophrenia (to name a few). Music acts as a medium for processing emotions, trauma, and grief—but music can also be utilized as a regulating or calming agent for anxiety or for dysregulation. We know how important it is to Eva, and all of the other very talented young artists, to be able to perform even in this crazy time!😭🎤
Virtually, anything is possible. We can still have a meaningful connection with people and things that we love, while staying safe and healthy and at home.
That is what "Don't Forget" is all about! Described as many things, including informative, simple, and catchy, this soing is a fun way to remember what is important.🙂 Eva put it beautifully, "It is the perfect reminder for any person, old or young, that they should continue to wear a mask, wash their hands, and follow all safety guidelines..while still staying in touch with others!"
