Andrea Green is a playwright, composer, director, music educator and music therapist.

Andrea also functions as a consultant for creating/collaborating on new projects, overseeing and participating in any of her musicals that are produced. Andrea travels throughout the country and abroad conducting workshops for children, professional staff, and instrumental music groups. Most recently, Andrea has been working with various professionals on the adaptation of her work into other media

Wow! I wrote “ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE” in 1982!
It seems pretty relevant?
I’m working to bring this musical into the elementary schools, to
foster empathy, inclusion and understanding. Via metaphorical stories with catchy, moving, humorous, memorable songs, children are uplifted and able to naturally come together with kindness & respect.

Selma Tolins Kaufman and I wrote HOMEROOM THE MUSICAL, as a piece to bring teens together and help them deal with the trials and tribulations of middle school teen age life. I met Selma over 30 years ago (she was a school psychologist) when she approached me about creating a musical for young teens based on essays they wrote about adolescence- Well, we did it and produced at the Walnut Street Theater, Disney and at many theaters in the country and abroad- HOMEROOM the Musical is now published by Concord Theatricals - it is a theatrical piece and a vehicle that can unite and foster empathy and respect between young people. The production
has great flexibility for each school and director.
