Did you see the Olympic Cauldron? It is a tribute to the history of France and flight - the Montgolfière brothers launched their first balloon carrying a person - Pilate de Rozier - from this same place in Paris in 1783!

The Olympic flame has reached new heights in Paris, and is using one of France's most historic inventions to do so. Gadi Shwartz has more on the history of hot air balloons and the role they play in this year's Olympics.

Crewing also gives you the opportunity to learn about the various aspects of ballooning and general aviation.
