The craft pulsed gently, casting rippling blue-green shadows onto adobe walls and red chile ristras swaying in the breeze. Just as suddenly as it appeared, the UFO vanished, leaving behind a faint smell of sage and an inexplicable calm, as if it had come not to conquer, but to commune with the spirit of New Mexico itself.
