TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY ✈️🏰
This one’s for parents with young kids: Baby Care Centers are located in all 4 parks and offer a convenient place to feed, change, nurse or just cool down with your little ones. The baby centers offer private nursing rooms, changing tables, high chairs, kitchen with a microwave and sink, main area with tv, chairs and tables, and vending machines with wipes, food, diapers, sunscreen etc available for purchase. TAKE ADVANTAGE because not only is this a genius area to have, but it’s also air conditioned which is SUPER important. My family took advantage when we went with our son and it was a game changer for him and us. It gave us all a minute to chill out and regroup because we were there in June and it was HOT.

Along with this area, if you and your child are ever separated, the child will be escorted by a cast member to the child care center and that’s where they will stay until they’re able to be reunited with their parents.

The locations of the baby care stations can be found on your My Disney Experience App maps of each park.

Luckily now it’s easier to get reservations at the highly sought after Oga’s Cantina, but when I went last June that wasn’t the case! You got what you could get and enjoyed your 45 minute time slot! Complaints went in one ear and out the other 😹👏🏻
One service I provide along with booking your trip is doing your dining reservations and now that dining plan is coming back, it can be overwhelming (speaking from experience) so let me take some of that anxiety off your shoulders!

TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY ✈️🏰
🔹 Stay at a value resort
If all you truly plan to use your resort for is the three S’s; sleep, shower and swim, consider staying at a value resort. Value resorts are typically cheaper than moderates and deluxe level resorts, but still have the Disney level service you’re looking for; same with the decor! Each one has their own specific theme like music, sports, movies, Disney animated movies etc. if spending your money means souvenirs, food, drinks and genie +, a value resort is the way to go!

HUGE DISNEY NEWS YALL!

DISNEY DINING IS BACK! Starting with stays beginning Jan 9. 2024, guests will be able to choose from 2 popular options: Packages that include either the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan. I don't know about all of you, but I certainly missed the convenience and peace of mind of the dining plan and for one am VERY happy.

Not only is dining coming back, but there's some other changes Disney is making to make your experience even better!
- Starting with park visits on Jan 9, 2024 theme park reservations will no longer be required for DATE BASED tickets. You read that right, when getting your tickets, you just select a start date for 1/9/24 or LATER and that's it!
- Introducing "good to go days" for Annual Passholders and Cast Members: in 2024, they plan to offer select days in which Annual Passholders and Cast members may visit Disney parks without needing a reservation. Once introduced, Good to go Days will roll out on an ongoing basis. This will be in addition to the recent update for passholders not needing park reservations during the WEEK after 2 PM. ** good to go days may vary by park and pass block out dates and capacity limits continue to apply like they do today**
-Continuing to provide extended park time to Disney Resort Hotel guests into 2024 everyday across all 4 parks!
-Simplifying the Genie + experience: no specific details YET but they are working on this for 2024 and will share when available

All of this is HUGE and if you ever needed a reason to book a trip, now's the time!

TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY 🏰✈️
🔹 Starbucks!
Learn where your Starbucks locations are. If you’re anything like me, you need at least 2-3 cups of coffee or fun caffeinated beverages to survive a normal day, let alone a Disney day. There are Starbucks locations in all 4 parks and while they have different names, they all have the Starbucks logo and sell the Starbucks beverages:
-Magic Kingdom: Main Street Bakery (on the right side of Main Street) has the old Starbucks logo
-EPCOT: Connections Cafe (Futureworld near Guardians and Test Track)
-Animal Kingdom: Creature Comfort (path between Discovery Island and Africa, past Pizzafari)
-Hollywood Studios: Trolley Car Cafe (right side of Hollywood Blvd, uses old Starbucks logo)

You can use your Starbucks app or gift cards here and still earn your stars but you CANNOT redeem stars or use mobile order (important to remember). There are also 2 Starbucks in Disney Springs, but those are regular Starbucks stores AKA just go by Starbucks and you can use the map or ask a Cast Member for their precise locations.

October: 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29, 31

Tickets for guests of select Walt Disney Resorts, Swan and Dolphin, and shades of green can purchase tickets starting April 27th and then will be available to all guests starting May 2, 2023

TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY ✈️🏰
🔹 Stay on property
While yes, it’s more than likely more expensive to stay on property than anywhere else, think of the perks you get! The resorts are all themed differently and unique in their own ways, you’re in the middle of the action and sometimes you can even spot a character or two wandering around! Some perks you can look forward to:
- Early theme park entry: applicable to select resorts ONLY and allows you access 30 minutes before park opening
- Early access to individual lightning lanes: you’ll be able to book them at 7 AM VS when the park opens and you’re trying to book with everyone else
- Complimentary transportation: get to all 4 parks, water parks and Disney springs by either bus, monorail, ferry, skyliner or even walking

♦️For what it’s worth, some quick resort recommendations from me would be Pop Century (value), Caribbean Beach (moderate and a personal fave) and Polynesian, Animal Kingdom Lodge or Contemporary (value and expensive but WORTH it if you want to splurge)

TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY ✈️🏰
🔹 Learn about special events. Let’s talk about events that happen at the parks that allow you early or late access and that may come with a special theme. While you don’t HAVE to purchase tickets for these, be advised they can run you about $150 per person per event if you want to partake in it. The main ones are Mickeys Not so Scary Halloween Party and Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party (dates vary for both). Not only are these special events, but if you’re traveling to Disney when these are taking place, it can impact your choice of parks and park days because they typically have to close that park early for these parties to happen. You also have After hours Events at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom which is different than the “extra magic hours” (which will be a different post explaining those). Again, you will need special tickets for these types of events, but they won’t necessarily kick you out of the parks for these after hour events, you just won’t be able to ride any rides. All of these events can be discussed further with your travel agent if you’d like to plan a trip around these parties!

TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY 🏰✈️
🔹Check the calendars!
Rides will need refurbishment and will need to be closed for extended periods of time, along with resort pools and restaurants. While you don’t necessarily need to plan your vacation around these closures, but it’s always better to know what will be opened or closed when you plan to travel so you can manage expectations. For example: I went for my Honeymoon in January 2018 and found that a lot of the water rides were closed for their refurb because it was winter and while we weren’t too bummed about it, that wasn’t the case for most. You don’t want to go in blind and excited to ride your favorite ride to find out it’s closed for 6 months! You can find the official refurbishment lists on Disneys website as well as their social media announcements!

Earth Month Treats! 🌎🧁🦍🐘

With earth day and the 25th anniversary of Disney’s Animal kingdom both happening in April, Walt Disney world is celebrating the world around us and it’s creatures throughout the month! They’re bringing the beauty of earth to the plate with delicious dishes like the elephant cupcake at pizzafari and restaurantosaurus, the plant based chaat at sanaa and the gorilla falls exploration trail sundae from Tamu Tamu showcasing their very own gorilla; Kejana!

As a part of Disney Planet possible, Disney is devoted to reducing our environmental footprint, supporting conservation efforts and finding ways for us to all take part in the magic of nature this Earth month. With so many ways to enjoy earth month through tastebuds, please be sure to continue the love of the planet all year!

I’m going to start a new weekly post called Travel Tip Tuesday where I share some tips and tricks to help with your Disney vacations! This weeks Travel Tip:

🔹 1. Learn the basics!
Check out how big your resort is, where your resort is located, how you can get to and from the parks and shopping areas, the different types of resorts, where the parks are and where water parks are. Disney world is large- the entire property is about 25,000 acres; that’s TWICE the size of Manhattan and there’s a lot going on. Between the 4 parks, 2 water parks and about 20 Disney operated hotels, you have tons of things you can do and knowing what goes on at your resort can help! Especially on those down days or rainy days.
