It has been less than a week, and I’m already missing Coronado Springs Resort. 😭 We loved the atmosphere, places to relax, and the multiple places to dine. We used to be Pop Century loyalists, but Coronado really changed the game for us.

Things got a bit crazy on the vacation front last week, but I am back in Pittsburgh and missing Disney already!

My next few posts will have some memories from our trip and useful tips/tricks for traveling. We had some major hiccups during our trip, but I learned so much from it. I can’t wait to share what I learned with you!

In the meantime, here is a tour of our room at Coronado Springs - my new favorite resort. We had a bad experience with our Good Neighbor Hotel and had to make the move. It was the best thing that happened during our trip.

Take a look at our gorgeous room that was only a bit more expensive than the standard Value Resorts!

Coronado Springs saved the day after a nightmare experience with a Good Neighbor Hotel in Orlando! The room was wonderful!

Kyle and I took a detour from Miami to Orlando by stopping in Vero Beach, FL. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to stay overnight at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort because they don’t allow single night stays. However, we were still able to eat breakfast at the Wind and Waves Grill and check out the resort. 🥞

If you’re familiar with Disney resorts, it’s a blend of the Beach Club Resort and the Grand Floridian. The grounds were beautiful, and there were Disney touches everywhere. You can even order Mickey waffles for breakfast! Mickey pretzels and the classic Disney churros are available poolside.

I would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting a beachfront resort with classic Disney touches. Other resorts cannot replicate this kind of touch. Plus, it is only an hour away from Walt Disney World! 🏰

This week I’m heading back to my favorite place on the planet - Walt Disney World! ❤️

Kyle and I are belatedly celebrating our five year wedding anniversary by doing a whirlwind long weekend trip to Mickey’s house (as we call it in our house). 🏰

This trip will highlight ways to spend time at Disney as just adults, different ways to spend non-park days, staying at a Good Neighbor Hotel, and more! ☀️

I am so excited to announce a project I have been working on the past few months: Brit McHenry Travel.

It is an odd time to begin a travel advisor business and travel website. As a mom with two kids who can’t be vaccinated yet, we spend a lot of our time at home. The act of planning a weekend trip or vacation has become a lifesaver on long days when it feels like there are 36 hours in a day.

Over the course of the past few months, I have planned a handful of getaways for our family where I meticulously checked Covid cases, safety procedures, and more! Those short trips have strengthened our family and saved my sanity in ways that I could not have imagined.

While it may look a little different from what it was years ago, I do believe that travel will come back to us this year. Let me help you find destinations that are vetted and safe.
