What a surprise this morning, Disney dropped some huge news!

Disney Parks will be piloting a new option called Lightning Lane Premier Pass (both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort)

✨Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be offered in very limited quantities and will give guests one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane entrance in the theme park they are visiting that day. This includes attractions included in both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, but with Lightning Lane Premier Pass, guests do not need to select an experience time. Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be a premium offering, and prices will vary based on the date and theme park guests are visiting.

✨ At Disneyland Resort, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available first come, first served beginning two days in advance of a theme park reservation and will be valid for use in both theme parks. The first date it will be available is October 23, 2024.

✨ At Walt Disney World, when Lightning Lane Premier Pass launches, it will be available to guests staying at Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts and may be purchased up to seven days in advance of their stay. It will only be valid for use in one park of the guest’s choice per day. The first date it will be available is October 30, 2024.

💸 Prices for Lightning Lane Premier Passes vary by date and theme park. At launch, prices will range from $129 to $449 per pass, plus tax with the highest prices falling on a limited number of days over peak travel periods. Eligible guests will be able to view prices in the My Disney Experience app.

This seems like it may be a much easier system. To sum it up, you pay one fee and get entrance into each Lightning Lane available at that park, once per person. At it is at a lower cost than VIP tours.

If you’d like to upgrade to deluxe, please let me know! We will also have our Lightning Lane documents updated today to reflect this for all our traveling guests 🤩

Update from Disney Destinations:

The Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Springs and possibly other areas will reopen on Friday, October 11.

We’re grateful Walt Disney World weathered the storm, and we are currently assessing the impacts to our property to prepare for reopening the theme parks, Disney Springs and possibly other areas tomorrow, Oct. 11. Our hearts are with our fellow Floridians who were impacted by this storm.

From Disney Destinations-

We continue to closely monitor the path of Hurricane Milton. Based on the latest projection, we are making additional operational adjustments for the safety of our Guests and Cast Members beginning tomorrow, Oct. 9.

The Walt Disney World Emergency Operations Center is connected to weather experts and community leaders. Please know these adjustments have been made in order to leave plenty of time for our Guests and Cast Members to return to their Resort hotels or homes safely hours before higher winds are expected to reach Central Florida.

Operational Impacts Include:

👉 Walt Disney World Theme Parks-
On Oct. 9, our theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1 p.m. Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close at 1 p.m. Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2 p.m.It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, Oct. 10. We will consider opening Disney Springs Thursday late afternoon with limited offerings.

This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom on Oct. 10. Event tickets will be refunded.

👉Disney Resort Hotel Closures-
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9. They are likely to remain closed until Sunday, Oct. 13.

👉Transportation-
Walt Disney World Transportation will stop operating Wednesday, Oct. 9 after Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World theme parks close. Limited Minnie Van and Mears taxi service will be available to Walt Disney World Resort Guests.

👉Recreation-
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Disney’s Blizzard Beach remains closed for planned refurbishment.
Reservations for Dining and Other Experiences

Effective immediately, Disney will not enforce cancellation policies until further notice for dining and other experiences. Pre-paid bookable experiences will be automatically refunded within 7 to 10 business days.

Due to potential weather impacts to guest travel plans, change and cancellation fees imposed by Disney will be waived for check-in dates of Tuesday, 10/8 - Monday, 10/14.

Monitoring Hurricane Milton

We are closely monitoring the path of the projected storm, and the safety of our Guests and Cast Members remains our top priority. Walt Disney World Resort is currently operating under normal conditions and will continue to be on Tuesday, Oct. 8. Looking ahead, we are making adjustments based on the latest weather forecast and some areas with unique environments.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, the Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The reopening timeline for the resort remains tentative, and subject to safety conditions.

PORT CANAVERAL CRUISE OPERATIONS FOR FRIDAY, SEPT. 27: Because of the effects of Hurricane Helene, we are anticipating cruise vessels scheduled to arrive at Port Canaveral on Friday, Sept. 27 will be delayed. These delays will likely impact guest embarkation times for outbound sailings. All cruise guests planning to sail from Port Canaveral on Friday, Sept. 27 or Saturday, Sept. 28 are advised to contact their cruise lines to confirm their embarkation and ship’s departure time.

The legend begins! You can be among the first to experience epic stories come to life on the Disney Destiny, the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

The Disney Destiny will sail year-round from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida beginning in November 2025. The ship will embark on an inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and western Caribbean, including visits to one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations – Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay.

Castaway Club members can secure an inaugural season spot as early as Sept. 6, 2024, and bookings go on sale to the general public on Sept. 12, 2024:

Disney announced the dates of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! This is a private special ticketed event that DOES sell out. There’s special parades, fireworks, character meet and greets in their festive gear, cookies and hot cocoa, “snow”, special merchandise and food, and slower wait times in the parks.

The dates are:
November: 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29
December: 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20

If you are not participating, please make note of these dates, as Magic Kingdom will close earlier, and there will not be any firework shows unless you are an event guest. The party is from 7pm-midnight.

In addition to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, Jollywood Nights will be back at Hollywood Studios. The party is from 7:30-midnight. This is a Hallowood-themed yuletide event with over 20 character experiences, specialty food and drinks, exclusive entertainment, and the popular Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! show. Please note Hollywood Studios will close early on these dates for non-ticketed guests.

The dates are:
November: 9, 13, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30
December: 2, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21

Tickets are available to purchase for resort guests on 7/2, and the general public on 7/10. While exact pricing is not available just yet, they range from $119-$199 + tax per person depending on the night. If you would like to purchase them, please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you!

Genie+ has been rebranded for Disneyland Resort and has some pretty big changes at Walt Disney World Resort.

For Walt Disney World, the changes will be implemented on 7/24. All guests traveling after will have access to our new information regarding this.

One of the best perks? You can pre purchase and make advanced reservations which so many of you have been asking for! No more 7am wake up calls!

There’s also perks for on property guests. I truly can not wait to discuss this system and our strategy with you!
