I’m Danielle Lewis. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and from as far back as I can remember I have always dreamed of traveling to foreign capitals and far-flung exotic places. And as soon as I began working full-time and saving, I started traveling by planes, trains, or automobiles. Whatever was necessary to get me to where I wanted to go.
My travelogue is as follows: I’ve stayed at least two nights in 44 of the 50 US States, five major cities in Canada, several Central and South American countries, a few African nations, numerous European and SE Asian cities and towns in 40+ countries including a 3-month stay in Australia and New Zealand, all covering six continents. Also, I’ve taken three 7-night cruises to the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the Mexican Riviera, and one 12-day cruise and land tour to Alaska.
Yet, in my 30+ years of extensive travel, most of it has been solo.
Go. See. Do. Be.
I retired December 2017 and became a nomad; I sold everything I owned and now slow-travel around the world, by myself, chasing the sunshine.
I became a Travel Advisor in early 2018 to begin the transition to my other dream: to introduce my friends and family (and their friends and family and so on…) to international travel. To show them that someone who is not rich, loves fun and excitement, craves knowledge about different cultures, wants to make a difference in the world, and knows how to save for peace of mind and time away can travel anywhere.
Go. See. Do. Be.
Travel is my Life! I walk around the world slowly, not only to enjoy every waking moment but to experience the heartbeat of a place for you. You are my customer and I will not recommend a site or a tour unless I’ve been there or someone I know has done that.
What’s the difference between those other companies and me? I’m not a call center, most often I’m able to get you a better deal than those other online sites, and, I care for your peace of mind and safety well beyond your travel purchase date. I’ve got your back whenever you need me.
Why the name “SelfishMe”?
Webster’s Dictionary definition of Selfish: concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself; seeking or concentrating on one's own advantage, pleasure, or well-being without regard for others.
My definition includes: self-care, emotional growth, and self-awareness; being prepared but relying on your own instincts, knowing the options yet trusting your gut, and expanding your thoughts while seeking to immerse yourself wholeheartedly into local histories and cultures of the world. Opening that magical doorway to surmounting obstacles, removing blinders, transcending comfort zones, stepping out on faith – alone – to becoming who you always hoped you’d be.
While we are a full-service travel agency, we specialize in bespoke fully-independent vacations and handcrafted theme trips for Women.

We want to completely immerse you in the best travel experiences that include putting you in touch with trustworthy and qualified local guides, drivers, vineyards, farmers, yoga instructors, masseurs & masseuses, chefs, mixologists, restauranteurs, photographers, etc.
