Pittsburgh is full of great surprises !! Last night provided three Pittsburgh gems ! I stated with pre theater snacks at for yummy savories and amazing desserts complete with sparklers and blueberry cotton candy . The main event was local theater and did not disappoint with their “out of the box” experiential production of The Cabinet of Dr Caliguiri. The play was performed in the small theatre located on the top floor of the . This unique theater is truly a hidden gem and was built by Henry Clay Frick’s for his own private performances in his gilded age downtown office building ! The Union Trust Building is a Pittsburgh Historic Landmark and gorgeous example of historic renovation . The lobby is a beautiful colorful blend of old and new and a true Pittsburgh treasure !! It was a true Pittsburgh trifecta evening !!

Thankyou Dave DiCello Photography for capturing the northern lights over Pittsburgh once again ! Just gorgeous !!

Absolutely unreal. Completely insane. Still mindblowing. I can't come up with enough adjectives.

For the FOURTH time this year, I was able to capture the Northern Lights above Pittsburgh. I'm actually still out, sitting on the overlook on Mt. Washington posting this while my camera runs a timelapse, but I just HAD to share this panorama.

Check out those lights. Visible from one end of the skyline to the other, bright pink that was visible to the naked eye, and even some green on the right. The color has waned and come back, with shades of greens popping up as well.

It most likely will continue into the evening, so go out and take a look! Cannot wait to share more, but this panorama will most likely end up being my favorite of the night.

Good morning Pittsburgh !!
Let’s make it a great Sunday !!

Finally. FINALLY we got a decent sunrise. It's been weeks since there's been a colorful sky in the morning, and this morning's sunrise was amazing.

I could see the clouds moving into the city early, and it looked like we would be in for a good one. So I headed to the West End Bridge, and waited. And waited. And waited. Sunrise was only 20 minutes away, and still no color. I was getting a little worried.

But then the edge of the clouds caught the first light of the day, and pretty soon the entire sky lit up. I'm actually not sure what my favorite view is from today, but this one is up there. There was vibrant color, beautiful light, and a mix of both, which you see here.

Lots more to come for sure. Heckuva a way to kick off Steeler Sunday.

It was a great day in the Burgh Saturday for some “receptive Tour guiding” for wonderful group of 50 visitors from New Jersey !! I created a custom tour based on their wish list that included : The Duquesne Incline , Northshore hometown Heroes and monuments , Strip District deliciousness and diversity , Downtown surprises and an ethnic journey around the world at the University of Pittsburgh Nationality Rooms !! Let’s finish the day with dinner at LeMont .. YES !!! Pittsburgh has it all!!
