Update on Hurricane Ian: Given the latest projections, Walt Disney World theme parks and water parks will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29. Disney Springs will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 28. We anticipate Disney Springs will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 29, and we will provide updates as we continue to track the storm. We are monitoring weather conditions so we can make timely decisions for the safety of our cast and guests, including when it’s safe for cast to return to the site to prepare for reopening.

The safety of our guests and team members is of utmost importance to us, and with Hurricane Ian barreling toward Florida, our team has been busy preparing the resort for the storm. The authorities have issued mandatory evacuation orders for both residents and non-residents. Effective 6 p.m. today, all residents in Evacuation Zone A (including all mobile home residents) will be under mandatory evacuation orders. Mandatory orders for evacuation zones B and C will be effective tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. All residential healthcare facilities will be under mandatory evacuation orders starting today as well.

Universal Orlando Resort, including CityWalk, will close on Sept. 28 & remain fully closed on Sept. 29. We anticipate reopening on Sept. 30 as conditions permit. Our hotels will remain operational as they take care of our guests.

Halloween Horror Nights will be canceled Sept. 28-29. We anticipate reopening the event on Sept. 30 conditions permitting.
