Crystal Seneca Graves had grown up seeing the big house on the corner of Eden and Haase Street in Plaquemine and said it was her childhood dream dollhouse! Being able to host her small intimate wedding at the Lozano House and make her childhood dream come true was an honor and a privilege.

Our April calendar is full, but we still have openings in May. Let us help make your BIG DAY easier and more memorable! Brides and their guests are extra special at the historic Lozano House in Plaquemine. We not only provide a picturesque setting in our completely restored 1897 Queen Anne home, we also provide an attendant to greet and direct your vendors as the arrive with flowers, photography and video equipment, transportation, etc. We allow you to focus on what’s important on your special day! We'd be honored for you to browse our posts and albums. Reach out for a quote on wedding day prep space or hosting a shower or other small gathering.

Did you know? The house currently known as The Lozano House on Eden Street in Plaquemine was previously a small restaurant and local bar! Interesting article about the “mansion” from the late 1980’s. The landscaping has changed a lot since then, but we put great effort to restore the home to its original 1897 condition. Thanks Kaylee Hebert for sharing.

Our sweet “Miss Katie” was my granddaughter’s dance teacher and will always hold a special place in our hearts. We had so much fun hosting this group at the Lozano House. And what an absolutely stunning bride!

Sometimes in life, it takes a look back at our past to remind us of God’s goodness and build our faith in his provision for our future. The Lord helped us assemble an amazing team to transform the historic Lozano House, room by room, floor by floor. (Pictured below is Kamryn B Joffrion in our beautiful primary bathroom.)

I absolutely love seeing the Lord at work around me. And I love even more when He allows me to be a part of His plan. At 9 AM Friday morning, I was still working on cleaning and decorating and furnishing our Ladies Parlor and Dining Room. We were pretty much starting over in those rooms after the antique and gift shop moved out last month.  My weekend Bride and her mom walked in with a look of disappointment on their faces. There was a last-minute issue with the venue for the rehearsal dinner, and there was no place to host 40 people for a sit down dinner at the last minute. No problem! Within eight hours, with a lot of help, we were able to host a lovely dinner and allow this family to relax and enjoy their guests. God worked out so many details. Too many to list. (Like the fact that our backordered chairs were actually on a truck in Plaquemine. I was able to track them down and load them from FedEx truck to my truck then drive them straight to those on our house at 2 PM.)
We are looking forward to many other special occasions on the first floor of the Lozano House.

It’s official! Rustic Charm Antiques and Gifts is in the process of relocating from the Lozano House in Plaquemine to the Rusty Rooster in Denham Springs. This gives us the opportunity to book a limited number of December holiday parties on the ground floor of our historic home!
